Character Spotlight #9-Autumn MacMillan and Helena Chambers
In this Character Spotlight, learn about Autumn MacMillan and Helena Chambers. Also Jacqueline Emerson, the voice behind Autumn and Helena.

Meet Autumn MacMillan
Autumn MacMillan is a no-nonsense, sharp-eyed Freestar Ranger who’s always one step ahead of the criminals she's tracking. You first meet her at the Red Mile, where she’s neck-deep in an investigation into Marco Graziani—a slick smuggler with connections that run deep. Autumn plays a major role in the Freestar Rangers questline, particularly the mission “On the Run.” She guides you through uncovering Marco’s operations, leaning on her sister Jade for intel and pushing you into the infamous Red Mile run to prove your worth.
Despite the high stakes, Autumn keeps her cool, her wit, and just the right amount of sarcasm to make conversations interesting.
She's the Ranger who doesn't need the spotlight—she is the spotlight. Whether you're storming a smuggler’s den or just sharing drinks at the Red Mile, she’s the kind of companion who’ll always have your back… and maybe roast you just a little while doing it.
(Once the Rangers storyline wraps up, Autumn is available to join your crew—and she doesn’t charge a single credit).
Fun Facts She insists on calling you “Deputy” even after you’re promoted to Ranger — a subtle dig, or just habit? You decide. In an optional convo, she jokingly offers nicknames like “Jackie” or “Erika” (a wink at her own real-world voice actress and botany skills). She and her sister Jade have a layered relationship — close but complicated.
Meet Helena Chambers
Helena Chambers is a delightfully dramatic example of karmic storytelling in Starfield. Helena once held a powerful role as the chief administrator aboard Starstation RE 939, orbiting Voss in the Alpha Centauri system. But when House Va’ruun attacked, she failed to initiate evacuation protocols leading to chaos and tragedy. As a result, she was stripped of her title and relocated to New Atlantis, where she now works begrudgingly as a barista at the Terrabrew Coffee shop. Her story is accessible, entertaining, and emotionally resonant… largely because she’s just so richly crafted (and hated by fans).
Meet Jacqueline Emerson
You might know her as Foxface from The Hunger Games or the voice of Autumn MacMillan in Starfield, but Jacqueline Emerson is so much more than just a familiar face (or voice). She's a true creative—an actress, singer-songwriter, and advocate who’s been making waves across the entertainment world since she was a teen.
Jacqueline first caught everyone’s attention in 2012 as Foxface, the clever and quiet tribute from District 5. Her performance in The Hunger Games stood out—not just for being mysterious, but for how much she could say without saying a word.
Since then, she’s taken on a mix of film and voice roles, including her fan-favorite turn as Autumn MacMillan in Starfield. Her characters tend to be smart, strong-willed, and a little complex—just like her.
Yep, she sings too! Jacqueline writes and performs her own music—an indie-pop sound with poetic lyrics and a dreamy, emotional edge. Songs like “Catch Me If You Can” and “Glass Fire in a Jar” show off her unique voice (both literally and artistically).
She’s released music independently and loves using songwriting as a way to process emotions and connect with others.
Jacqueline studied at Stanford University, where she double-majored in Chinese and Theater. So, she's not only creative—she’s seriously smart. She’s also super passionate about mental health, self-expression, and helping young creatives find their voice.
Whether she’s sneaking through a dystopian arena or taking down space smugglers, Jacqueline brings a kind of warmth, wit, and soul to her roles that sticks with you. She's authentic, down-to-earth, and clearly passionate about everything she does—from acting and music to using her platform for good.
