Meet Nicolaus Slayton
Nicolaus Slayton is the powerful and uncompromising director of Slayton Aerospace, one of Neon’s most influential corporations. Operating from his sleek headquarters in the Trade Tower on Volii Alpha, Slayton has built a reputation as a ruthless businessman whose ambition and ego match the size of his empire. Known for his sharp intellect and short temper, he demands precision and loyalty from those who work for him, often delegating the finer details of his operations to his capable assistant, Ryleigh. Despite his public success, Slayton becomes entangled in deeper intrigue when an Artifact in his possession is stolen by a man named Musgrove, drawing the player into his orbit during the events of All That Money Can Buy. His involvement reveals the cold pragmatism and moral ambiguity that define much of Neon’s elite, where wealth and power often outweigh principles.
Meet Darin De Paul, voice actor for Nicolaus Slayton.
Darin De Paul is an American voice actor with a long and varied career spanning video games, animation, commercials, and live-action appearances. De Paul began his career in theater, performing on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and in regional productions. He has also appeared in live-action roles on television series such as Miami Vice and Law & Order.
He’s best known for roles like Reinhardt in Overwatch, Ardyn Izunia in Final Fantasy XV, Revenant in Apex Legends, Samuel Hayden in Doom, J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man series, and Emperor Calus in Destiny 2. In Starfield, he voices Nicolaus Slayton, the hard-edged and ambitious head of Slayton Aerospace. He’s lent his voice to many animated shows such as We Bare Bears, Amphibia, Big City Greens, 3Below: Tales of Arcadia, The Stinky & Dirty Show, and The Legend of Vox Machina.
De Paul's contributions to the entertainment industry have earned him recognition and accolades, including multiple wins at the Behind The Voice Actors Voice Acting Awards. He is married to actress Debra Cardona, and together they have been active in the voice acting community.
