In this Character Spotlight, learn about Marshal Daniel Blake and Victor Brandt, the voice actor behind Marshal Daniel Blake.

Meet Marshal Daniel Blake

Marshal Daniel Blake is a senior law enforcement leader in the Freestar Collective, serving as the authoritative and steady-handed marshal based in Akila City.

As a veteran peacekeeper, Blake embodies the rugged, frontier-style justice that defines Freestar governance—firm but fair, practical, and deeply committed to maintaining order across often-lawless systems. He plays a key role in overseeing the Rangers’ operations, offering guidance, assignments, and strategic direction to those serving under him. Known for his calm demeanor, sharp judgment, and no-nonsense approach to duty, Blake represents the disciplined backbone of Freestar law, balancing independence with responsibility in a society that prizes freedom above all else.

Meet Victor Brandt

Victor Brandt is a veteran American actor and voice performer with a career spanning film, television, and video games.

Brandt began his career in the '60s as a dependable film and television character actor and branched out into voice acting in the '90s. His earliest roles came on shows like the gentle family sitcom "My Three Sons," but he gave his breakthrough performance as ambitious Corporal Jansen a few years later on "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C."

Based on the misadventures of the sweet but dimwitted Pyle, whom Jim Nabors first portrayed on the long-running series "The Andy Griffith Show," "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C." led to even bigger roles for Brandt. He guest-starred on episodes of the cult sci-fi series "Star Trek" (as Tongo Rad in the episode 'The Way to Eden' and Watson in the episode 'Elaan of Troyius'). He also played a curious TV installer in the Emmy-winning TV movie "The Boy in the Plastic Bubble." Brandt landed steady supporting work on mystery and crime series like "T.J. Hooker" and "Cagney & Lacey" and landed a rare big-screen role as a stern bailiff in Clint Eastwood's gothic southern drama "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil."

In 1996, Brandt was cast as absent-minded Professor Hamilton on the award-winning "Superman" animated series and later reprised his role in the video game "Superman: Shadow of Apokolips." He gave voice to the gently warning narrator in the live-action adaptation of "The Cat in the Hat" and has maintained several recurring roles on the blood-drenched "Metalocalypse," centered on the eccentric members of a black metal band.

In video games, Brandt has voiced a wide range of characters, including Daniel Blake in Starfield, Alexei Stukov in StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, characters in Red Dead Redemption 2, World of Warcraft: Legion, Metro Exodus – Sam’s Story, and The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom, among many others.

Known for his distinctive authoritative voice and versatility, Brandt has built a long-standing reputation as one of the industry’s most reliable and recognizable character and voice actors.
