Meet The Parents

Dad and Mom live in an apartment in Pioneer Tower, located in the Residential District in New Atlantis on planet Jemison.

They moved frequently while you were a child across different Settled Systems before settling in New Atlantis

Dad retired recently, and he was initially hesitant about your shift from Argos Extractors to Constellation—but your mother helped reassure him. He genuinely appreciates the support you send and keeps your old room intact. In-game, he's a recently retired college professor who taught at a university on New Atlantis. He’s typically risk averse, preferring calm over chaos, though he does like a bit of gambling now and then. He’s also the family cook, carrying on a culinary legacy from his chef father.

Mom is described as warm and supportive, always encouraging your galactic exploration. Mom, alongside Dad, offers charming parental interactions and gifts, adding meaningful role-play moments: They congratulate you when you join Constellation, proud to see your achievements.

They provide unique rewards, like: an antique pistol (Sir Livingston’s Pistol), a special ship (Wanderwell), a family recipe and heirloom gear (Grandpa’s meatloaf, Gran Gran’s spacesuit and helmet), and a backpack in your bedroom for extra carry capacity. (Dad and Mom are available if you choose the Kid Stuff Trait. Note that they are not available in NG universes where Constellation is absent).

Meet Tim Russ, voice actor for Dad (additional Starfield voices-Guillaume Degarmo, Maurice Lyon).

Tim Russ is more than just a Sci Fi icon. He's a multi-talented artist. He's an actor, director, voice talent, musician, astronomer, and public-minded citizen who connects his passions in meaningful ways. Whether combing the desert in Spaceballs or in deep space aboard Voyager, his contributions resonate both on-screen and off.

Known widely as Lieutenant Commander Tuvok on Star Trek: Voyager (1995–2001), appearing in 168 of 172 episodes.

Tim is a lifelong musician. He plays multiple instruments and has released albums including Tim Russ, Kushangaza, Brave New World, Only a Dream in Rio, 2nd Thoughts, and Ballet 101 – A Beginner Class video work.

With over 35 years of experience, Tim is active in the Los Angeles Astronomical Society. He’s known for outreach events—sharing telescopes (e.g. 10″ Dobsonian, 8″ Schmidt-Cassegrain, Unistellar eVscope)—at star parties.

In August 2021, Tim was among citizen astronomers who detected the Trojan asteroid 617 Patroclus, assisting NASA’s Lucy mission.

Tim’s voice work spans many major franchises: Voyager – Elite Force (1999), Elite Force II (2003), Star Trek Online (2013–2014), reprising Tuvok. Fallout 4-Voiced Lancer Captain Kells, along with additional roles in its Far Harbor expansion.

Meet Nana Visitor, voice actor for Mom

Nana Visitor is a versatile actress and voice talent best known for her role as Major (later Colonel) Kira Nerys in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Over the show's seven-season run, she brought depth and complexity to a character grappling with trauma, political duty, and personal growth. Visitor’s performance was critically praised for its intensity and emotional honesty, especially in standout episodes like “Duet” and “Return to Grace.” Her real-life pregnancy was incorporated into the show’s storyline in season five, making her one of the few sci-fi heroines to portray pregnancy as part of a narrative arc. Beyond television and film, Nana has lent her voice to numerous video games, reprising her iconic role as Kira Nerys in Star Trek: DS9 – Harbinger (1996), Star Trek: The Fallen (2000), and Star Trek Online – Victory is Life (2018).

She has also voiced characters in Family Guy and contributed to other franchises like The Elder Scrolls Online, Mafia III, and Starfield.
