Meet Captain Myeong

Captain Myeong is a veteran United Colonies Marine officer whose reputation was forged during the Colony War, most notably at the Battle of Niira. There, she commanded UC forces tasked with holding Parduk Pass, where her Marines maintained their position for an entire week against relentless Freestar Collective pressure. When retreat became inevitable, Myeong ordered the collapse of the pass, burying advancing Freestar mechs and denying the enemy a decisive breakthrough. The maneuver proved devastating but costly, resulting in a pyrrhic victory that underscored the brutal realities of the conflict. Before either side could secure control of Niira, the Armistice was signed, ending the battle in a hard-fought stalemate.

In recognition of her leadership and sacrifice under fire, the United Colonies awarded Captain Myeong the Meritorious Star, after which she continued her career as a Marine Captain, carrying forward a legacy defined by resolve, discipline, and the unforgiving calculus of wartime command.

Meet Kate Marley

Kate Marley (also credited as Kate Marlais) is a Korean-American actor, voiceover artist, and theatre performer with a diverse background in on-camera, stage, and voice work. She trained in musical theatre, graduating from the BFA program at Ithaca College, and has extensive experience in acting, voice and speech, dialects, movement, and performance arts. In addition to her acting career, she works professionally as a voiceover director and casting director, especially in English dubbing of Korean and Japanese television series, collaborating with studios such as Netflix and Disney on projects like The Price of Confession, Mercy for None, and Black Knight.

In the video game world, Marley is best known as the voice of Captain Myeong in Starfield, bringing to life the stern United Colonies Marine commander. Her career also spans appearances in television series such as Queenmaker, Mask Girl, and Somebody, as well as voice work for numerous dubbed titles.

Beyond performance, she pursues visual art and photography, reflecting a broad creative practice.
