Before assuming his current role, Tuala served with distinction as a recon squad commander in the United Colonies military. His years in the field hardened him into a capable leader who understood the dangers of the Settled Systems and the dedication required to protect them. Though he no longer leads soldiers in combat, his sense of duty remains as sharp as ever. Now, Tuala dedicates himself to evaluating candidates for the Vanguard. For him, recruitment is more than filling ranks; it is shaping the future. He values determination, skill, and character, believing that the Vanguard offers individuals a chance to serve others, defend humanity, and undertake meaningful work among the stars.

When new recruits arrive, Tuala introduces them to the Vanguard through the initial process marked by the quest known as “Supra et Ultra”.
