Meet Kelton Frush

Kelton Frush is a botanist working for MAST in New Atlantis whose quiet scientific career takes an unexpected turn when he notices something unusual happening to one of the city's enormous trees. Concerned that the changes may indicate a larger problem, Kelton begins gathering environmental data and enlists the help of a passing Spacefarer to place monitoring equipment throughout New Atlantis. His investigation eventually leads him into conflict with fellow researcher Emilio Hadek and sends his research beyond Jemison when he determines that a related tree on Akila may hold the key to understanding the phenomenon.

Serious, methodical and sometimes socially awkward, Kelton is far more comfortable discussing plant biology than dealing with people. Beneath that slightly eccentric exterior, however, is a dedicated scientist genuinely concerned with understanding and protecting the unusual plant life that has become part of New Atlantis.

Meet John Eric Bentley

John Eric Bentley is an American actor and voice performer, whose career spans video games, animation, anime dubbing, film, television and ADR work. Over the years, he has become especially well known for his deep, commanding voice and for playing characters with strong personalities, authority or comic energy.

Among gamers, Bentley is perhaps most recognizable as Barret Wallace in Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. He also voices Kelton Frush and Frank Langston in Starfield. His extensive gaming résumé includes Fallout: New Vegas, where he voiced Neil and other super mutants, Fallout 76 as Art Knapp, Wasteland 3 as Ironclad Cordite, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes as Rufus, Star Ocean: The Divine Force as Ruddle, Saints Row, The Last of Us Part I, God of War Ragnarök, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Borderlands 4, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii and Yakuza Kiwami 3 / Dark Ties. Earlier gaming work includes L.A. Noire, in which he portrayed Dale Gadberry, Red Faction: Armageddon, Ghost Recon 2, Saints Row 2 and inFamous.

Bentley has also established a substantial career in animation and English-language anime dubbing. His anime work includes Gantenbainne Mosqueda in Bleach, Son Goku/Four-Tails and other characters in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Ziggy in Edens Zero, Viviano Westwood in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Tetsuido in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and roles in Cells at Work! CODE BLACK, Carole & Tuesday, Delicious in Dungeon, Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture and Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045. He has also contributed voices to productions such as Belle, Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal and Tiger & Bunny 2.

Outside animation and gaming, Bentley has appeared in live-action film and television. His screen credits include Resident Evil: Extinction, in which he appeared as an Umbrella technician, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, where he played an aide. His television appearances have included programs such as NCIS, Bones, Ghost Whisperer, The Mentalist, Hart of Dixie, 9-1-1 and Days of Our Lives. He has also performed voice and ADR work for numerous major films and television productions, contributing to projects including Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, No One Will Save You, Vacation Friends 2, Atlanta, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Thelma the Unicorn, Dog Man and KPop Demon Hunters. This type of work often involves providing background voices, crowd dialogue, replacement dialogue and additional vocal performances that help build the soundscape of a film or television production.

Bentley’s career therefore stretches well beyond any single franchise. Although his performance as Barret Wallace has become one of his signature roles, he has spent decades moving between live-action acting, character voice work, anime localization, motion capture and ADR.
