Character Spotlight #69-Lyle Brewer
In this Character Spotlight, learn about Lyle Brewer and Ray Chase, the voice actor behind Lyle Brewer.
Meet Lyle Brewer
Lyle Brewer is a seasoned hunter and survivalist who can be found at Aggie’s Bar in Akila City. He is available to join your crew, bringing experience with shotguns, particle beam weapons and alien wildlife.
Lyle comes across as practical and self-reliant, making him a fitting companion for dangerous expeditions. He's an outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and living off the land, and he talks about his survival experience when you ask him. He also has a softer side; one of his lines says he would not leave his family struggling when they needed him.
Meet Ray Chase
Ray Chase was born in Freehold, New Jersey, grew up in Las Vegas and earned a theatre degree from the University of Southern California in 2009. He began voice acting by recording audiobooks before moving into games, where his roles include Lyle Brewer in Starfield, Noctis in Final Fantasy XV, Alphen in Tales of Arise, Neuvillette in Genshin Impact, Guile in Street Fighter 6 and Rhys in Borderlands 3.
His work also spans television and anime: he voices Cyclops in X-Men ’97, Sukuna and Choso in Jujutsu Kaisen, and Tengen Uzui in Demon Slayer.
In film, he voiced the villain in Malignant and appeared on screen in Licorice Pizza. Beyond acting, Chase helped establish Sassy Chap Games and served as lead developer and writer on Date Everything!, in which he also voices several characters.
