They don’t ask questions about contraband, they keep names off the record, and they’ll move absolutely anything—now including forged deeds for premium real estate. This mod introduces a roleplay-friendly, underground alternative to official property buying. Purchasing a deed immediately hands over the key and boots up the property's visit activity in the mission log (Neon home exception). Details below.

Under the Counter Inventory

Compatibility & Installation

⬡ Load Order: Place Dirty Deeds near the bottom of your load order (below any economy, vendor, or city overhauls) to ensure the forged deeds appear correctly. ⬡ Precautions: Always make a manual/hard save before installing mods. Safe to install on existing character mid-playthrough—after installing, wait on Venus for 1 hour to refresh vendor inventory lists. ⬡ Custom Scripts: This mod uses custom script logic. Like any scripted mod, it shouldn't be removed mid-save. Finish your current run or hit the Unity before uninstalling. If you absolutely must remove it, revert to a save from before the mod was installed. ⬡ Altered Processes: No handouts in the black market. Purchasing a forged deed circumvents the bonus resources that are typically added to the home ship inventory upon purchase. In New Atlantis and Akila City, the quest marker will show up as it normally does, but in Neon? You’re on your own. Kolman Lang would tell you to figure it out yourself anyway. ⬡ Already a homeowner? If you already own a property, the forged deed for that specific home will not show up at the vendors. The Trade Authority might be crooked, but they aren't going to waste time trying to sell you a bridge you already own. ⬡ Scoring a black market property: If you purchase a Forged Property Deed, the legal realtor will no longer offer dialogue to sell you that home. Base Record Edits

Dialogues Dirty Deeds modifies the property purchase dialogue options for the vanilla realtors associated with these homes. A condition has been added to prevent realtors from offering a property if the player already possesses that property's key through the forged deed system. ⠀⠀Affected NPCs: ⠀⠀⠀› Zora Sangweni, New Atlantis ⠀⠀⠀› Ngodup Tate, Akila City ⠀⠀⠀› Boone Morgan, Neon This is a minimal edit intended to prevent duplicate property purchases and keys. If another mod also modifies these specific dialogue records, load order may determine which version of the dialogue is used. Note: Mr. Tate tends to hang out in the Core neighborhood, even after both of his properties are owned and his side quest Blast Zone has been completed. This is a vanilla behavior that is not affected by or edited by this mod.

Vendor Containers Dirty Deeds adds custom leveled lists directly to the Trade Authority vendor containers used by Zoe Kaminski, Duncan Lynch, and Kolman Lang. This ensures that each forged deed appears only at the vendor associated with that property's location. Because these vendors share item pools, direct container edits were necessary to place the property deeds at the correct locations. If another mod also modifies these specific vendor container records, placing Dirty Deeds lower in your load order will ensure the forged deeds appear correctly.
