Red Mile - New Dawn (Compatibility Version)

COMPATIBILITY VERSION - Settled Systems Shuttle Service
Compatibility version for Settled Systems Shuttle Service. This version removes the left-side exterior building added by Red Mile - New Dawn to avoid clipping with the shuttle area.
Do not use it alongside the main version !
The vanilla concept of the Red Mile is honestly one of the most promising ideas in Starfield: a brutalist casino / hotel located in the Porrima system, basically Starfield’s “fun and vacation” system, where guests can gamble, drink, rent a room, and watch contestants run a deadly race against some of the most dangerous creatures on the planet ... All of this is supposedly broadcast across the Settled Systems like a major sporting event. Great concept!
But in the vanilla game, the Red Mile has always felt strange to me. It is supposed to be one of the most infamous entertainment venues in the Settled Systems, yet in practice it is mostly a single building, with very little infrastructure, only a few rentable rooms, and a crowd made of repeated NPCs. .
With this mod, I wanted to give players a reason to give the Red Mile a second chance. This is Red Mile - New Dawn.
As with my previous overhauls in the New Dawn series, the goal is simple: bring coherence, purpose, and atmosphere to an underwhelming settlement while reinforcing its theme and lore.
The idea behind this overhaul is to show the Red Mile as a place that has evolved from an old smuggler and pirate hideout into a proper high-risk entertainment venue, fully reclaimed and transformed under Mei Devine’s control.
In this interpretation, Mei has made serious investments to reshape the Red Mile into something worthy of the reputation surrounding the race. Pirates are no longer welcome here and are killed on sight. The venue now attracts a wealthier clientele drawn to gambling, betting, danger, and macabre entertainment ...
AUTHOR’S NOTE :
- The goal is to keep this mod as compatible as possible.
- This overhaul does not modify the Red Mile race itself.
- There are already very good mods focused on improving the race, and I did not want to interfere with them.
