Have you always wanted to float around your favorite city without a suit or boost pack, hovering over people and buildings like a superhero while everyone else walks beneath you? Are you annoyed by one or more zero gravity locations, and would prefer to maintain normal gravity? Perhaps you'd like to enjoy "moon jumping" while everyone else moves normally? Then this is the mod for you.

Under a chair in your room at the Lodge, you'll find a mysterious box that contains a most impressive set of jewelry items - Gravity Control Rings!

Equipping a ring marked "GC Player" will set the player's gravity to the selected value, and gravity will remain at default for NPCs and objects. Equipping a ring marked "GC Cell" will spawn a standing button where you are, and activating the button will set the selected gravity for the current cell; you can simply equip the ring and unequip it without leaving the menu, and your new standing button will appear, ready to use.

No longer will a location dictate your gravity. Walk, jump, or float to your heart's desire.

Notes:

If you place a standing button and later want to get rid of it, simply strike or otherwise damage it, and it will disappear.

Setting cell gravity using this mechanism doesn't affect exterior cells. This is a game limitation.

Gravity Control Rings take up no armor slot, so you can wear anything you want at the same time. However, wearing multiple "GC Player" Rings at the same time can yield strange results.

By default (without this mod), when the player is in zero gravity, all NPCs show their spacesuits and helmets. When using a ring marked "GC Player", this mechanism is temporarily suppressed. However, sometimes an NPC may very briefly show his/her spacesuit. There could also be rare cases in which an NPC should be wearing a space suit but does not. Any NPCs that are marked Ghost or similar (NPCs that cannot be hit with a weapon or spell such as Mom and Dad) will put on their space suits for the duration of the effect. Children will act like other normal NPCs (unless they're ghost children).

When a cell's gravity is set to zero using "GC Cell 0.00", NPCs will equip their spacesuits unless you happen to also wear "GC Player 0.00". This is a base game mechanic and I don't want to tamper with it directly.

After turning off gravity in a cell then turning it back on later, sometimes loose objects will continue to float until something or someone bumps into them, after which they'll behave normally again.

Any cells that have their gravity changed by other scripts, such as the base game ship that keeps turning artificial gravity off and on, will override these. However, you could use "GC Player 100" if you want to maintain normal gravity for the player.

Gravity 2.00 and 9.99 are mostly noticeable when falling, which happens faster and injures more easily.

If you want to fly more quickly while using one of the "GC Player" rings, my Ring of Swiftness mod's Ring or Supplement could be used alongside this mod.

Enjoy!
