Weapon Balance Overhaul
This mod aims to bring all standard weapons up to a (reasonably) usable level. Many of the early game guns in the game are quickly left behind in damage output or don’t even have an Advanced version available.
This will also drastically improve full-auto DPS compared to semi-auto weapons but still leaves semi-auto in a good place to be effective.
Aim models and recoils have been adjusted so hitting all your shots in full-auto will be more difficult with ballistic weapons, while lasers are much more stable in any firing mode.
Most weapons have had levels adjusted they will show up to take into account these differences. Prices on guns with significant damage changes are also changed accordingly.
RIFLES
Lawgiver Base Damage 31 → 100 (Advanced 106 → 242)
Hard Target – NO CHANGE
Beowulf Base Damage 36 → 25 (Advanced 99 → 75) Automatic Receiver – .5x damage, 140 fire rate
Grendel Base Damage 3 → 12 (Advanced 13 → 37.5) Automatic Receiver – 150 fire rate Semi-Auto Receiver – 1.5x damage
Kodama Base Damage 13 → 12 (Advanced 36 → 37.5)
AA-99 Base Damage 17 → 20 (Advanced 44 → 55)
Drumbeat Base Damage 8 → 15 (Advanced 25 → 42) Full-Auto Receiver – 140 fire rate Semi-Auto Receiver – 1.82x damage (Same as AA-99)
Tombstone Base Damage 19 → 21 (Advanced 53 → 58)
Maelstrom Base Damage 4 → 10 (Advanced 19 → 33) Semi-Auto Receiver – 2x damage
Old Earth Assault Rifle Base Damage 15 → 19 (Advanced 37 → 51) Full-Auto Receiver – 108 fire rate
Old Earth Hunting Rifle – NO CHANGE
Equinox Base Damage 13 → 22 (Refined 38 → Advanced 69) Full-Auto Receiver – .4x damage
Orion Slightly changed damage for Calibrated and Refined. Base and Advanced are unchanged.
PISTOLS
Kraken Base Damage 3 → 8 (Advanced 12 → 26)
Eon Base Damage 10 → 20 (Refined 34 → Advanced 60)
Sidestar Base Damage 12 → 22 (Refined 36 → Advanced 65)
Rattler Base Damage 10 → 20 (Refined 29 → Advanced 57)
Urban Eagle – NO CHANGE
Regulator Base Damage 35 → 39 (Advanced 100 → 107) These values now match Urban Eagle
Old Earth Pistol – NO CHANGE
XM-2311 Base Damage 36 → 29 (Advanced 97 → 88) Now only slightly better than OE Pistol.
Solstice Base Damage 10 → 18 (Advanced 34 → 55) Full-Auto Receiver – .65x damage
Razerback Base Damage 51 → 70 (Advanced 140 → 170)
SHOTGUNS – NO CHANGES
MAG WEAPONS
MagShear – NO CHANGE
MagStorm – NO CHANGE

MagPulse Base damage remains the same and scales up to Advanced 173 → 192.

Big Bang – NO CHANGE
Novalight Base Damage 8/25 → 13/39 (Advanced 24/74 → 31/96)
Inflictor Base Damage 38/113 → 38/95 (Advanced 78/230 → 78/192)
Starshard Base Damage 26/80 → 26/67 (Advanced 56/173 → 56/133)
HEAVY WEAPONS
Microgun Advanced damage raised by 1.
Bridger Changed explosive to use the same as Negotiator Result: Base Damage 127 → 155 (Advanced 307 → 335)
No other changes.
MISC CHANGES
Crouching now noticeably improves stability.
‘Low Health’ condition now 35% from 50%.
Dots now have higher damage and less ticks.
Rank 4 Lasers perk now has a 10% chance to ignite. No longer buffs Particle Weapons.
Space Adept is now a straight 20% buff to damage in space with no negative effect.
Armor Piercing Mod 25% → 30% armor reduction.
Magnetic Rails Mod 15% → 20% damage boost.
Slug Mod 10% → 30% damage boost.
XPL Mod 15% → 20% damage boost.
