Supply Mission Fix V2 - Now with LTSM

So, you spent a lot of time building that nice efficient outpost to produce "Sentimental Wafers" for a supply mission. Everything is working perfectly. The 720 required wafers are shipped and you get paid! Now What? Will you ever see another supply mission for this resource? Who knows... So, you shove the things into your cargo hold and sell them to a vendor that has the credits and get paid LESS per unit than the supply mission.
LTSM is the answer.
New Feature: ________________________________________ Long Term Supply Missions: (LTSM) The default is STANDARD MODE: The supply missions will behave as they normally would. The resource amounts were small, and you were paid when the mission was completed. When LTSM mission mode is selected, it increases the required amounts and pays you when the cargo ship makes the delivery. This makes that outpost you built into a long-term money maker. There are options to select the mission size and if you want to earn XP per delivery, since some of the missions are so large they may never finish. When a mission does complete, you will receive XP and a 1,000 credit bonus. (There needs to be a reward amount or it won't show the "Mission Complete" message and play the music.)
Stalled Supply Line warnings: ________________________ The supply missions now periodically check to make sure deliveries are being made. After a number of late deliveries, a "Stalled Supply Line" warning is shown, including the resource and delivery location. It is then up to the player to find the cause. Instructions on how to fix are located in the gameplay options. Typically, the solution is to use the "Remove Link" function at your outpost cargo link, then remake the link. This will clear the "Stalled Supply Line" state and try again. This feature is enabled for both STANDARD and LTSM mission modes.
Note: It is checking the "Supply mission cargo link", not the cargo links that transport resources around your outposts, although if one of those are delivering resources required to support the supply mission it will also eventually cause a stalled state. If the stall clears on its own it will automatically clear the stalled state.
Gameplay Options: __________________________________ Mission Mode:
- Standard: Supply missions behave as they do in vanilla Starfield.
- LTSM: Increases the mission required amount and pays you per delivery. Enables the Earn XP option.
- You can change modes at any time, but when a mission is created the current mission mode is set permanently for that mission. Changing this option does not affect missions that are already running.
LTSM Mission Size:
- NO CHANGE: Same amount as STANDARD mode but you are paid per delivery.
- LOW: Randomly chosen 10x, 20x, 30x, 40x, 50x multiplier.
- MEDIUM: Randomly chosen 50x, 60x, 70x... up to 100x multiplier.
- HIGH: Randomly chosen 100x, 110x... up to 200x multiplier.
- EXTREME: Randomly chosen 200x, 210x... up to 300x multiplier.
- ETERNAL: Sets all mission amounts to 9 million. Practically eternal. You can change this option at any time, but it only affects newly created missions.
Earn XP:
- OFF, LOW (5xp), MEDIUM (15xp), HIGH (25xp): Experience points are given after 5 deliveries, so it doesn't get annoying. Each running supply mission gives its own XP and the HUD notification can't be disabled.
Show Delivery Notifications: ON, OFF
-
When this option is ON, and a delivery is made it will show a notification in the top right corner of the screen. Ex. DELIVERED 100 IRON (FE) , 200 CREDITS. These notifications WILL NOT be shown during combat but if they become annoying you can turn this option OFF.
-
New Supply Mission Notification: ON, OFF New supply missions are created when the player changes location. When this option is ON, the notification "NEW SUPPLY MISSION HERE" will be shown in the top right corner of the screen. Note: Some locations do not have a mission board but will still show a new mission created. Waggoner farm for example. In this case, the mission is usually found on the mission board of another POI. Civilian Outpost, Industrial Site, etc.
-
Stalled Supply Line Notifications: ON, OFF When the mission detects that a delivery hasn't been made after a length of time it will cause a "Stalled Supply Line" error. A "Help Message" will be shown at the top of the screen with information about which mission is causing it. This will always be shown and only lasts about 30 seconds (and WILL be shown during combat). This option controls a periodic notification that will show in the top right corner until the problem is fixed. Ex. * SUPPLY LINE STALLED * IRON (FE) TO JEMISON. It is helpful at first but does get annoying. Note: This notification will NOT be shown during combat.
Statistics Terminal: ____________________________________________ The outpost/ship buildable terminal is still available at the bottom of the Decorations category. It is no longer used to fix problems. The main script now fixes any problems automatically. The terminal now shows a message with various statistics: Supply Missions Completed Supply Line Stalls Total Deliveries Made Total Units Shipped (in millions) Total Credits Earned (in millions)
Important things to know about LTSM: ___________________________________ The more Long Term missions you have running, the fewer supply missions you will see on the mission boards. The reason: There are only 13 mission board supply "Quests". When you are running one of them, it will not be shown on the mission board again until you complete the mission. There are 2 quests each for Common (Iron, Aluminum, etc.) and Uncommon (Cobalt, Tungsten, etc.) inorganic resources but other rare and exotic resource types only have 1 quest. So, for example, XENON is an "Exotic" resource. If you are running a mission to supply XENON, you will never see a mission for Antimony, Caesium, Neon, etc. which are also classified "Exotic".
This is not "Get Rich Quick". Although some of the mission quantities and rewards can be very high, it doesn't payout quite as quickly as you think at first. It really depends on the production rate of that resource at your outpost. The cargo ships tend to travel back and forth in a short amount of time so you may only see 200, 500, 1,000 credits per delivery. The supply missions DO pay more per unit than what you would get from selling them directly to a vendor, and once it is set up you just sit back and let the credits roll in...
Notes: __________________________________________________
- In supply missions, the cargo ship does not have a capacity limit. It can take the entire amount if it exists in your storage containers.
- The cargo ship will keep travelling back and forth even if it has nothing to deliver. A supply line stall error will eventually occur, however.
- An Inter-System cargo link will consume He3 whenever a link is active, even if the ship is not delivering anything.
- You may see the amount being delivered changing quite a bit depending on where the player is located. I think it is because the clocks run at different speeds on different planets.
- Sleeping for a long time can speed up the generation of the resource but it does not speed up the travel time of the cargo ships.
Updating from previous version: _____________________________________________ (This mod is an update and extension of my previous mod: Supply Mission Fix) This mod is fully compatible with previous version of Supply Mission Fix. You do not need to create new save or go NG+. The file names are the same so it will update over an existing install. Just disable the old mod and enable this one. The changes for long term missions are optional and are turned OFF by default. I am listing this on a separate page because I wanted to keep the old version available and more accessible.
Other mods that will help: _________________________________________ Here are some of my other mods that will work with this one:
-
Production Rate Multiplier If your outpost is not producing as fast as you want, this mod will help.
-
Higher Amounts in Supply Missions It will not conflict but is not really necessary since LTSM goes to 9 million. But, if you already have it installed you don't need to remove it.
-
Show More Supply Missions A new mod that will simply make more of the supply missions show up in the mission boards. It is not included in this mod because it may conflict with other mods that do the same type of thing.
Compatibility: ___________________________________________ This mod does edit 2 vanilla game scripts, mostly to fix bugs: MissionSupplyScript SQ_OutpostCargoLinkScript It also adds a lot of properties to the 13 quests. Any mods that also edit these will conflict with this mod. Script edits do not "merge". Whichever mod is loaded LAST will take control.
Bug Fixes: ______________________ Includes all of the fixes from previous version. New Fixes:
- Cargo ships blocking landing pads: Small changes were made to the system that makes random ships land and takeoff from the spaceports of main cities. Jemison and Volii Alpha have only one cargo landing pad so it can take longer to deliver there but it works better now.
- Fixed some incorrect and incomplete resource records for the Manufactured resources. When making the cargo link, outposts would show that they needed "Deformable Nozzles" instead of "Drill Rigs", "Stochastic Emitter" instead of Vytinium Fuel Rods. The resource constructable object records were either wrong or empty. The missions still worked but it looked wrong. (Those odd items were cut content.)
