Build Shared Container on Ship

The standard shared outpost container is located in the Storage category of the build menu. This category is not visible when inside of a ship.

This mod adds new shared containers to the DECORATIONS category. They will be below the small outpost crates.

The following are available:

Shared Ship Container: Looks just like the standard shared container.
Container Access Panel: Looks like a hatch that you can put on a wall or another decorative container.
Wall Safe: The same wall safe that you can build in an outpost.
Shared Military Crate: A cube shaped crate.
Shared Industrial Crate: A larger rectangular shaped crate.
Shared Science Crate: A common many-sided crate.
Shared Storage Sign: A sign you can mount on the crate or a wall.

The standard shared outpost container is still available in the Storage category. You can only build ONE container at each outpost or ship. None of the containers require the Outpost Management or Engineering Skills. They cost 5,000 credits, 2 Aluminum and 4 Structural resource. The containers all store 5,000 units, the same as the standard container. You can build any of the new containers at an outpost. It should be available at a player home but currently I can only confirm that it works in Neon apartment.

** Placing contraband in the shared container will bypass a ship scan ** So this is cheating the system. Don't do it!

If you are currently using my other mod: "Easy Shared Outpost Container" you can simply delete that mod and switch to this one. Don't worry you won't lose anything stored in the shared stash.

The shared container works differently than other containers in the game. You can build ONE container in the entire game. Store items in it. Then delete the container and your items are still in the global stash. When you build the shared container again the items will still be there.

If you want to remove this mod for some reason, I would recommend deleting all of the containers and signs that you built before doing so. You can remove the mod and build a vanilla shared outpost container and all of your items will still be inside.
