PLAYSTATION RELEASE No changes for other platforms.
VERSION 2.0 UPDATE Markers can now be disabled by scanning them with your hand scanner. This is not enabled by default, you will need to activate it from the Add/Remove settings slate. See further details below.
This is an addon for "Usable Animation Markers", you will need that mod active for this one to be of any use.
DESCRIPTION This mod adds a "disable" activate option to invisible animation markers so that they can be temporarily hidden. You would typically use this if the marker is blocking you from interacting with something, such as looting a container or enemy, or if the marker is blocking access to a workbench, etc. This will allow you to continue playing without needing to disable UAM itself if something important is blocked.
Disabling a marker will hide it from 10 seconds up to a minute, which you can configure in Gameplay Options. There are also settings to hide the disable option when in combat, and to remove the option.
Markers can also now be disabled by scanning them with your hand scanner. There's a setting in Gameplay Options to switch this scanner mode from "hide" to "indicate", which creates an effect at marker positions, allow you to find them more easily. See the videos for demos of both modes.
A slate will be added to your inventory, with settings to allow you to enable and disable both of these features independently. The option on markers is enabled by default, and the scanner option must be enabled with the slate.
Bethesda does not support uninstalling mods on an existing save, but if you're going to you should turn off both features before removing the mod, even if you're planning to go through Unity right away.
DLC AND CREATIONS A Shattered Space addon to add support for the additional invisible markers from that DLC is also available on Creations, install that as well if you have Shattered Space.
If you have Bethesda's "The Perfect Recipe" Creation, see the image in the gallery here for the location of a "stand casually" animation marker that you will need to disable in order to access the cooking station.
NOTES This is from Usable Animation Markers on Nexus Mods. This addon has been available there for some time but is now being shared here as well due to the possibility that additional markers may need to be disabled to progress missions in Free Lanes/Terran Armada and other Bethesda creations like "The Perfect Recipe" mentioned above.
I can be contacted at Nexus Mods.
