Midas Manor Player Home.
Available on Nexus Mods, Bethesda's Creation Club and Consoles.
I hope you enjoy the mod, this is the first mod that I've ever made... It's also my first time ever using the Creation Kit and it's my first time touching a game engine in over 15 years, so this is, at least in my mind... A rough build. In the future due to the knowledge I've gained making this, I'll be polishing everything so much more than I have here, though I did try to make things best I could with the knowledge I had. I also intend on making fully custom designed locations in future builds.
I got inspiration for the design of the Workbenches from The Real Elianora, their mod "Eli's Akila Stretch Home Overhaul" https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/9860
Located in New Atlantis. The Fast Travel point will teleport you inside the player home once discovered. Immediately upon landing in New Atlantis go straight ahead then turn right at the bend, there you will see the lifts and you'll see a button allowing you to enter the home as the main door.
Custom Midas Destroyer (Player Ship,) fully decorated and stats modified for better end game handling with custom Vendors, Guards and Doctor. (Ship is Located in the System: Narion, on the Planet: Vectera, where you first started the game.) The Ship has 500,000 Units of Storage Capacity and the Conduction Grid and Comspike are already installed but invisible to the player, the ship will work on the Crimson Fleet Quest.
You are able to use Build Mode in the house and ship to add what décor you please. Large empty room for the Player to build in freely, inside the Midas Manor. (Door to enter this room is located in the Entry Hall along side the Build Mode button and Terminals, inside Captains Office between the Door to the Storage Room and the Remote Systems Terminal.)
Door to The Unity. (Located in the Secret Room, in the Midas Manor.) (This allows the Player easy access to New Game Plus, granting the ability to easily reset the games CELLS.)
There are 300 custom buildable objects in the build menu, including my custom Workbenches. Almost everything I've custom designed for the player home is available in the build menu to be used in any Outpost, Ship or Player Home that allows building. Every Object in the house has been made Static, nothing will move.
There are custom merchants inside that have a massive amount of credits for ease of selling items and for purchasing ammo, I also created a custom Aurora that is "Legal" available as a respawn in a container outside the doctors office and also be available to purchase from the merchants in the house. The merchants, even when you lower the total Credits of a vendor in the settings they will still have over 1,000,000 Credits, on the Normal setting it will be 1,100,000 Credits and if you Greatly Increase how many Credits merchants have available it will be sitting at 6,250,000 Credits. Additional Unique Merchant that sells rare and outright not normally possible to obtain outfits from the game on the Midas Destroyer Ship. (Lady Vivienne "The Doc") (Also added a custom Neuro-Amp that has all three of the effects on it.) The Merchant is also buildable in Ships, Player Homes and Outposts.
All containers in the house are linked to all of the Workbenches in the house, meaning you can store any materials in any container in the house and when you go to use a Workbench, it will automatically pull from the containers. All containers in the ship are linked to the Crafting Benches as well. (All Containers are infinite capacity.)
There is a companion tied to the player home as well, to start it you must pick up the Data Slate on the Desk in the Captains Office. I added a quest trigger to allow players to experience the "Other You" Companion from New Game Plus, it's a fully fleshed out character that was designed by Bethesda, voice acted and all, it's incredibly rare to encounter and you'd only have it for the one playthrough, so with what I've done is allow you to have it on every playthrough and it does NOT require you to be in New Game Plus, you can use it on a brand new character if you desire. The companion has three variants, Male, Female and Non-Binary, I added all of the Companion perks to the companion/s so they will be the ultimate companion to have with you, on your Ship or tied to an Outpost. The "Other You" Companion will look identical to your Player Character and will share your characters name.
There is a secret room in the house where I added things that I like to use on new characters or New Game Plus runs, the key to the room is located on the Desk in the Captains Office. (The Door is the Security Alarm above the Snow Globe Display in the Captain's Quarters.) Also it will contain Data Slates that will give you which ever you choose or even all of the Backgrounds and Traits in the game if you want, and all they do really... Is just add additional Dialogue options. The reason there are so many weapons in the weapon container is because of how Bethesda handles the level scaling of gear and they also randomize modifications on them, I could not find a way to prevent the random rolling or the damage scaling... Armor was super easy to work with, hence why there are only specific sets. I recreated the Starborn Armor to be a three piece set with a removable helmet and removable robe. There is a Mantis set for those who like to retexture the armor, but want it to have proper end game stats on it. There is also a silly Spacesuit in there for fun. I also added some outfits that I quite enjoy. There are also Data Slates in there that contain every Background and Trait, all these do is add additional Dialogue options for you as you play, nothing negative from them at all, so feel free to take them all.
The armor stats are balanced around the Mystery Gravis Suit that Bethesda released as a free mod, so the most powerful thing about the armor I made is just that you can have 9 legendary effects instead of being limited to 3.
There are 11 additional pre-existing quests starters in the house as time savers, not including the Companion. There are 10 books in the Chronomark container on the Desk in the Captains Office, those books give you the unique quest locations to gain Snow Globes on Earth and the Moon, these are added as a time saver as the books are scattered all around the place and some in a specific merchant, it's to allow the people who don't like searching for the books but want to experience the locations. The last quest is the "Secret Outpost" Data Slate that only drops from Spacers, which is like a 1 in 50 chance of getting... This just gives you the immediate ability to get the Mantis Lair Quest line to get the ship and default Mantis Armor.
The terminals in the house are usable, they will be a little lackluster Mission Boards and Bounty Clearance Terminals.
All NPCs and Turrets in the house are intended to remain loyal to the Player Character, they will never turn hostile on you and you will be unable to kill any of the NPCs, they're all flagged as Essential and even so they would respawn if they somehow magically did die. You can shoot them, you can down them, you will not be able to kill them. Feel free to use them as DPS testers or something. If the AI starts being weird after leaving and re-entering, it's from what I gathered a Bethesda problem... I couldn't do anything to fix it and it only happens to the more "lenient" pathed AIs I added in, they do eventually go back to work after a couple minutes, but if you're impatient or one is just stuck, shoot and down them, they'll reset.
The house also contains several Data Slates scattered around as a "Lore" fill-in, to attempt to make the house feel like it belongs in the world a bit better.
I deliberately avoided adding in custom script to the mod to ensure it's as "Bethesda Vanilla" as possible, so everything I've done is from the base game, ensuring there should be no complications with other mods you may install or any future updates to the game.
Thank you for trying out my mod, and please forgive me for any issues or bugs you may find, I tried to squish them all... I will try my best to patch any issues that players may find, I tried to bug test as thoroughly as I could but it's a lot of game and there's lots of variables... I also want to offer a special thanks to Jordan for having helped me with several hours of bug testing that helped me save a little time on the project! This mod has accumulated to 525+ hours of work for those who may be curious as to how much time I spent on this, and a good 80-100 of those hours were trial and error learning things as I struggled to find information on the more complex questions I had.
Put the mod at the bottom of your load order if using any ship related mods.
