VERSION 1.1: MASSIVE CONTENT UPDATE! Update 1 implements a complete progression system and skill trees for improving individual Micro Bombs. Additionally, each bomb type gets their own unique Ultimate which instantly spreads bombs to the 5+ closest targets and can also be customized with powerful upgrades such as turning the Ultimate into a Gravity Mine you throw to pull all targets hit into the detonation point! (See below for full mechanics breakdown for each bomb/upgrade path). Also built entirely new shaders, particle effects, explosions and other visuals, added amazing new chems (see added images above), along with many more fixes, changes, and improvements. See 1.1 changelog on Bethesda.net Starfield creation site for the complete patch notes!
This video goes into detail about many of the new features: youtube.com/watch?v=0ONqU9Bw54Y
The aim of this creation is to add an entirely new character path specifically for Stealth, Melee and Unarmed combat making these totally viable for all content. However, there are many incredible perks and tools that work with any playstyle! There is also a lot of unique flavor and lore to discover along the way.
NEW IN 1.1: Non-melee playstyles are now also more viable than ever with the new Ultimate system and chems to grant yourself charge to cast Micro Bomb Ultimates without needing to use melee at all!
NEW POWERS: The mod also introduces a whole new system to Starfield, with equippable "spells" or powers separate from your Starborn abilities (you do not need to be a Starborn to unlock them). These skills are equipped through hotkeys by assigning their item in your Inventory-> Aid section to favorites, and you use them with the same key/buttons you would any Starborn power. If you played Skyrim think of them as Powers that cast the same way an equipped Shout would. This frees you up to use your equipped weapon and cast your combo powers naturally without having to worry about swapping anything.
The core of the build centers on two new perks, Techno Monk and Temporal Agent, both located in the Physical tree at tier 2 and 3 respectively. Techno monk introduces you to the concept of Shadowstep and builds on your basic stealth and melee capabilities, while Temporal Agent takes this to a whole other level with Micro-Bomb mechanics and advanced gravity and time manipulation!
TECHNO MONK: Become adept at manipulating energy fields through mental discipline and advanced biotechnology, strengthening the body and altering the perception of time.
Rank 1: Remain agile in stealth, negating the movement speed penalty. Melee and unarmed attacks are 50% stronger. Rank 2: Gain Shadowstep when sneak attacking in melee, becoming undetectable and briefly slowing your perception of time. Duration doubled when attacking out of combat. Rank 3: Learn to craft a special catalyst that can further extend Shadowstep duration temporarily. In addition, Shadowstep can also occur when your melee or unarmed attacks are blocked. Rank 4: Learn the Shadow Strike power (Inventory-> Aid) letting you teleport to nearby targets while in Shadowstep.
SHADOW STRIKE: Toggle equipping the Shadow Strike Power, allowing you to step through shadows and teleport silently to a target while in Shadowstep. (See images for additional notes. Visual indication of valid targets when spell equipped.)
TEMPORAL AGENT: Your mind and body have adapted to altered states of time, giving you greater focus and more skillful control of the environment while in Shadowstep. Requires Techno Monk Rank II.
Rank 1: Your keen reflexes allow you to enter Shadowstep when sliding (requires Gymnastics) in combat. You can also incapacitate one enemy at a time for 60s when not in combat. Rank 2: You've always had a knack for tinkering. Learn to craft Shock & Flame Micro Bombs you can deliver with melee and unarmed attacks, and detonate with power attacks. Rank 3: Your arsenal now includes Poison & Frost bombs, and the advanced Mirror bomb which builds charge from damage you take and returns it to enemies or heals you on detonation. Rank 4: Learn the Time Sync power (Inventory-> Aid) letting you synchronize and instantly detonate all your enemy-placed micro bombs, and cast Ultimates.
TIME SYNC: Toggle equipping the Time Sync Power, allowing you to detonate all active Temporal Agent Micro Bombs or cast Ultimates. (See below for individual Micro Bomb detonation behavior.)
