Desolation - POI Overhaul

Imagine exploring a vast galaxy where human settlements make sense, colonies thrive only on habitable planets, or in their home systems, and the stars feel alive yet mysterious. Desolation reworks Starfield’s exploration to deliver a more immersive, lore-friendly experience while keeping the thrill of discovery alive. Perfect for players who crave realistic worldbuilding without sacrificing adventure.
What This Creation Does This creation reshapes how you encounter settlements and points of interest (POIs) in Starfield:
-- Logical Settlements: Human outposts and colonies now appear only on planets with breathable atmospheres or established life, or in the core systems, aligning with Starfield’s lore about the Settled Systems. Barren worlds stay empty, making the galaxy feel vast and untamed. -- Focused Exploration: Random human POIs are reduced outside the Settled Systems, but infinite locations remain in core worlds for explorers to discover. -- Unchanged Core Gameplay: Radiant quests (dynamic missions) and planet scan locations still generate as usual, ensuring every habitable planet has discoverable points of interest. -- Balanced Factions: The Crimson Fleet no longer dominates the galaxy with countless bases on every planet, making them feel more realistic and grounded.
Why It Matters This creation creates a galaxy that feels alive and believable:
-- Immersion: Settlements appear where humans would logically live, making every discovery feel meaningful. -- Exploration Rewarded: Fewer random outposts mean each POI feels more meaningful, whether it’s a hidden colony or a forgotten ruin. -- Lore-Friendly: The changes respect Starfield’s narrative, where humanity colonizes habitable worlds within the Settled Systems, not barren rocks.
