Proving - Starborn Trials
Forge your legend across the stars. Proving - Starborn Trials is a creation for Starfield that revolutionizes the New Game+ experience. The goal is to make each journey into a new universe a unique and rewarding challenge, incentivizing different playstyles and building a truly powerful character over time.
How It Works
The cycle is simple but profound. Each time you begin a New Game+, you will be presented with a choice:
- Choose a Trial: Select one of the unique Starborn Trials. This choice will grant you a powerful buff but also saddle you with a significant debuff, shaping your entire playthrough.
- Overcome the Challenge: To master the trial, you must complete its specific objective. This could be anything from amassing a fortune to achieving a certain number of stealth kills.
- Claim Your Power: Upon completing the challenge, the debuff is permanently removed for that playthrough, and the powerful buff becomes a permanent part of your character's abilities for all future journeys through the multiverse.
The Trials
Choose your path, Starborn. Your trials await.

- Buff: Better prices and more credits for trading.
- Debuff: 25% less O2 while you have under 100,000 credits.

Why It Works
The idea behind Proving is to make each NG+ a unique experience. Is the game getting stale? Jump through the Unity and find yourself doing a melee run now, or managing a small industrial empire. This creation incentivizes all characters to see all the game has to offer, as well as adding a sense of progression through the NG+ cycles that isn't just small buffs to your existing powers.
Compatibility
This creation is load order neutral, working with any combination of other creations. It will work with both existing save games and new ones. Let me know if there are any other challenges you would like me to add or updates I could make. You can contact me on Discord: https://discord.gg/sHr64cMrcf
