Cosmic Evolution - Dynamic NPC Overhaul
Major 2.0 Update
Cosmic Scale has evolved into Cosmic Evolution, a full dynamic NPC overhaul inspired by my Skyrim Ragnarok and Fallout 4 Evolution mods.
Starfield’s NPCs all share the same stats, health, and size. One Pirate Brigand is identical to every other. This Creation completely changes that by giving every NPC unique size, health, damage, speed, and special abilities.
Features
- Dynamic Size Scaling: Every NPC gets a unique height (default ±25% for creatures, ±5% for humans). Males are slightly taller, females slightly shorter.
- Planet-Adaptive Aliens: Native creatures on each world are scaled together based on gravity and atmosphere — low gravity = larger, high gravity = smaller. This makes every alien world actually alien, as your character will never quite fit.
- Dynamic Health System: As enemy levels grow, a modifier is placed on them so they take more damage. A level 1 enemy has no change, but by level 70, they have 30% the health they would have had. This completely removes bullet sponges from the game. (Ascension users: This will be disabled automatically)
- Stat Shuffling: Random variation in damage output, damage resistance, and movement speed on every NPC.
- Legendary Recognition: Legendary aliens are now larger and more dangerous.
- Special Abilities: Human enemies now have extra items distributed randomly. Med Paks, Combat Chems, Chameleon effects, and Heavy Weapons. All will be used as needed by the AI.
- Configuration: Fully configurable through the Gameplay Options menu.
Result
Bullet sponges are gone. Combat feels fresh and unpredictable from level 1 to NG+. Every enemy is unique, with less health but more abilities. Every planet now feels unique and dangerous in its own way. Some worlds will have towering nightmare creatures, others swarms of small, aggressive aliens.
No more identical NPCs. No more samey planets.
Compatibility
- Works alongside Ascension (health balancing automatically disables when Ascension is detected).
- Won't need patches for mods that add new NPCs.
