Useful Mess Halls attempts to make mess halls... well, useful!
Crew members with the Gastronomy perk will now perform duties as a chef while on board your ship, as long as a cooking workbench is present. With a chef on board your ship, food is sometimes available to you in the mess hall(s) and your captain's quarters.
Using the newly installed intercoms within the mess hall will allow you to call over your crew and passengers to enjoy a meal together. If enough crew members are present, you get a boost from the newly added Camaraderie perk which increases your experience and companion affinity gain for a limited time.

When finished placing a single or group of tables, you must then create an intercom which will link the placed tables to that intercom. You can do this as many times as you want. A message will be displayed when an intercom is placed informing you how many tables were detected and linked to that intercom. 10 ship tables were added with varying tables and layouts to the build menu in the Furniture section. The intercom was added to the Miscellaneous section.
