Spawn NPCs

Have you always wanted to liven up the Lodge with some of your favorite characters? Is your ship feeling a little empty without a functional bartender, weapons vendor, or doctor? Do you have a quest you can't progress because an NPC is missing? Do you wish you could give Huong Le or someone else a proper home? Then this is the mod for you.
On the upper shelf of a lamp stand next to your bed at the Lodge, you'll find a mysterious box that contains a most impressive collection of jewelry items - Spawn NPC Rings!
If you equip a Spawn NPC Ring, the NPC from the ring's name will appear where you are. You can simply equip the ring and unequip it without leaving the menu, and your new NPC will appear. You can spawn as many of each NPC as you like, and you can do so anywhere, including on your ship, in someone else's house, in a dark cave, or deep in an enemy facility. If you use another one of my mods, Erase NPCs, you can erase most NPCs spawned with these rings. With over 600 NPCs included, almost anyone in the game is now available anywhere you'd like them to be.
Notes:
It's recommended to save before you spawn new NPCs, in case you don't like the outcome and are unable to erase an NPC using my Erase NPCs mod.
These are base game NPCs, not modified in any way - they may be friendly, hostile, or neutral depending on your current relationship with the original NPC, or how the base NPC ties in with quests.
Spawn NPC Rings are generally named as the NPC is displayed in the game - sometimes, this means Dr. John Smith or Commander Rebecca Hernandez. Keep that in mind when looking for your desired ring.
While some NPCs will give complete dialogue as normal (and this can be used to progress quests in some cases, buy from a vendor, or get healed by a doctor) and many will give partially working dialogue, many NPCs don't provide dialogue, either because their dialogue is location-locked by quests, or because their quests are not yet running or no longer running. Talking to spawned versions of some followers and hireable crew members may result in stuck dialogue that will require you to load from a save.
Some NPCs will permanently stand still where they're spawned; some will sandbox in the area and act like they live there, using workbenches and sitting in chairs and such; and some will immediately head home. If you spawn several NPCs that head home, you may end up with several NPCs all living where the original lives (you can usually erase them with my Erase NPCs mod if desired). For those NPCs that stand still, you could place them behind a bar as bartenders or in your med bay as doctors, if you just want some "set dressing".
One way to liven up NPCs that just stand still is to use another of my mods, Recruit Anyone as Ship Crew, and make them a part of your crew. They will then sandbox around your ship like they live there.
If you need to update the mod to grab new rings I've added in the latest update, you'll need to delete the mod, load your save and save again, download the mod again, and load your save. This will remove any rings from your inventory, but spawned NPCs will remain where you spawned them.
If there's an NPC I haven't included, let me know and I'll try to add it in the next update. With the number of NPCs in this game, I may have missed one or two.
These rings take up no armor slots, so you can wear other rings or clothing items at the same time.
Enjoy!
