Phantom Port: Located in orbit of Celebrai II, Phantom Port is an asteroid station maintained by crew who could not bear the endless jumps. Former members of The First who followed Captain Owl into exile, they have anchored themselves to this fixed point across all timelines. They serve the ship, not the captain—whoever holds the Nautilus and possesses the keycard may access port facilities, resupply, and The Observer calibration. The port exists for those who have passed through Unity and seek harbor. The crew do not judge. They do not ask your history. They maintain the station, stock supplies, and wait for the ship to return, as she always does. Captain Owl: The keeper of knowledge and wisdom, the bringer of death and destruction. Captain Owl is a ghost haunting his own life. Formerly a leader within The First mercenary company and seasoned veteran of the disbanded 1st Cavalry, he commanded at Niira, was imprisoned for disobedience, and broke with Paxton Hull over civilian killings. He took The Observer—experimental ground-to-ship weapon—and fled with loyal crew to forge his own path. That was lifetimes ago. Owl is Starborn (iterations unknown), having passed through Unity more times than memory allows. He has died countless deaths, jumped across countless timelines, and learned that the events at Niira are fixed—the betrayal always happens, The First always becomes monsters, and he always leaves. The only constant is the Nautilus. Bound to him through the teardrop core installed in her heart, she persists across all branches, always the same, always waiting. Owl is characterized by weariness masked as wisdom, a master strategist who has learned that vengeance is futile against the infinite. He built Phantom Port as a fixed point for crew who could not bear the endless cycle, encoding the keycard system so that whoever commands the ship may find harbor regardless of how they obtained it. He does not seek redemption anymore. Only continuity. The ship flying. The crew breathing. One more jump. If you have taken the Nautilus, you hold his inheritance. You are part of the branches now.
