Starfield - TV Edit - Starfield Unity

Closest thing to a kid-friendly Settled Systems, now with corny euphemisms! No swear word will be assaulting your ears or eyes or anyone within earshot.

This mutes all lines containing profanity, and replaces the text profanity with euphemisms; like a 90's style TV Edit. Should cover nearly all text in the game, spoken as well as journals and menus and misc text. (Note that the word crp is allowed and used as a euphemism for s** 😝)

I created this mod so I could involve my son in the Starfield modding process. Most of the "Mature" content in this game comes from the profane language, and that is all this mod removes* at this time. The game still contains adult themes, violence, blood and gore; however these things are largely avoidable if all you are doing is exploring planets, building outposts and ships. That is, the long game.

If you require profanity to enjoy the game, this mod wasn't intended for you, so please don't complain, and respect others' freedom to choose.

Release 0.2 notes:

Quest and dialogue parent records are now partial overrides; this mean the mod has a much MUCH lower risk of conflict with other mods. Only the lines -- INFO records are modified, not the quests.
Profane words / phrases are now replaced with euphemisms in most cases, however there are no perfect replacements so expect comedy.
Xbox sound replacements are now correctly encoded.
