Ryujin scientists have detected anomalies appearing across multiple systems. Confidential sources have leaked the information to SSNN that these anomalies appear to be wormholes, capable of moving a ship and its crew to an unknown location.Travelers are advised to avoid these anomalies, entering could lead you to any destination and into situations you and your crew are ill prepared for.
This mod adds two types of wormholes to the game- Stable Wormholes -These portals can transport your ship and crew to any random system in game, creating new pathways and adding some interesting options to gameplay by allowing you to access systems that would otherwise be unavailable until late game. -Their pathways and locations are randomized each NG/NG+, creating a unique experience in each universe. -They are permanent and can allow you to travel back and forth between the two systems. -Every system has a high chance of having at least one wormhole and a 25% chance (adjustable with game settings) to create a second wormhole in the system. The exception to this rule is systems with less than 5 planets/moons, with about a 20% loss per fewer planets. (A system with 1 planet will have a 20% chance, 2 will have 40%, etc.) -Stable Wormholes can be discovered only by entering a planet with their orbit, after which they will be marked with a map icon for return. -All are initially named Wormhole, once entered the portals will be labeled with their destinations "Wormhole to Location". -An energy surrounds wormholes that will reduce your shields, it's recommended not to spend too long nearby, the energy does not damage your hull and can't destroy you, but showing up to an unknown loactions with your shields down is never a good bet. Unstable Wormholes -These portals will teleport you to any system, but not to any active wormhole locations. -These portals are one way and close once used, should you decide to enter it, you will have to find your way back the hard way. -There is only a 1% chance (adjustable with game settings) to encounter an unstable wormhole -Unstable wormholes do higher damage to your shields than their counterparts.
There are 3 new game settings associated with this mod what they do should be self explanatory: Unstable Wormhole Chance Second Wormhole Chance (this setting will only be useful if set before a NG+, it will affect the chance when the script sets up the mod) Wormhole Shield Damage Changes to settings will attempt to remain constant through Unity. The changes will be applied but not represented in the settings menu after NG+. Changing any of the settings from this mod will cause the currently visible settings to be applied.
A new game is recommended for ease of install. If installing on a current save game, give the mod at least a minute to assign all the wormholes, then jump to another system. After that the mod should work fine.
