Doubles sell base price - from 12.5% to 25%

Buffs Commerce skill perks from 10%/15%/20%/25% to 20%/40%/70%/100%

Adds new effects to the Negotiation and Deception skill perks. They now give 5%/10%/15%/20% increased sales prices for the ranks 1-4 and at rank 4 both grant another 2% buy price reduction respectively.

What does all of this mean? What do I get out of this?

This means that, once you get all 3 skills maxed out at rank 4 and the first issue of Kryx legacy (a magazine that you can find and awards you with another 2% buy/sell price buff), you will effectively sell items at almost the same price you can buy them. The actual numbers are 73,44% sell price and 75,30% buy price (percentage in relation to base item value). This means it does not make it possible to "print money" out of thin air. But it should now reflect your savvy business skills that rival those of megacorps negotiators.

I uploaded some images of a Novalight as an example for the new prices without any perks/buffs and with maximum buffs.

AND YES, THIS DOES WORK WITH ALL SHIP PRICES AS WELL! With this you can now sell captured ships for a nice lump sum - if you got the perks ^^

DISCLAIMER SECTION

Why make this? Aren't there other mods already who do this? Isn't this a bit much? If I want to be rich easy, couldn't I just install another mod that gives me a lot of credits instantly?

All good questions. The reason why I decided to do my own take on the "increased sale pricing"-mods is because I wanted it to be good and feel really strong overall while retaining a semblance of balancing and progression.

First. I increased the base price of items by 100% because I was always reaaaaaaaally annoyed how people in Starfield clearly have no perception of actual value. It might be the future and office supplies might not be worth much, but cmon, not even a THIRD of an items value when you can still use it just fine with minimal wear? That always felt insanely immersion breaking, especially for weapons and armor, both expensive and with suits very high tech items you would want to AT LEAST recycle/gut for spare parts. So now, you get a quarter of the value baseline instead of just an eighth.

Second. With this mod, if you invest heavily into the social skill perks (foregoing other perks related to combat or exploration), you will get rewarded appropriately. I realize this might not be "balanced" once you get all the perks, but I think that is less of a problem. A player will need a minimum level of 12 (if you have Commerce rank 1 as one of your starting perks) to have gained all of the bonuses. Even with bonus XP from high difficulty settings this will take a few hours (in my estimation at least 6-7, if not more) of questing and combat in normal gameplay (I say normal because I don't assume everyone is going to jump to a max level planet as soon as they get into the Frontier and start murdering peaceful wildlife). All the while the player will not be able to buy any perks helping him with combat, or additional carry weight (something that is especially scarce on max difficulty). That doesn't even take into account the challenges you have to fulfill to get those perks. Realistically I expect most people to max out all three perks at around level 20 at the earliest, even if they wanted to go for them specifically.

I feel that is a good way of rewarding dedication. Also, it is a great way to buff late stage players who have a high level or jumpstart NG+ players without resorting to "here, there is an unimmersive chest with 3 million credits conveniently left unlocked in the lodge".

Those are my justifications.
