Have you ever been stuck somewhere, hopelessly wishing you could phase through a solid object? Are there things you'd like to explore behind doors, walls, or other obstacles? Would you like to experience the space between dimensions? Then this is the mod for you.

On the shelf of a small lamp stand in your room at the Lodge, you'll find a mysterious box that contains a most impressive piece of jewelry - The Ring of Phase Shifting!

If you equip the Ring of Phase Shifting, a standing button mechanism will appear where you are, allowing you to toggle clipping. You can simply equip the ring and unequip it without leaving the menu, and your new activator will appear, ready to use. Once you've activated the button, either quickly and immediately move your character to disable clipping and start walking through walls, or allow the animation to proceed to enable clipping and stop walking through walls. The animation will leave you a few feet in the air as if you'd just climbed up a ladder.

The simplest way to use this new capability is to equip and unequip the ring in your menu, activate the standing button and quickly move to disable clipping, pass through whatever object you wish to pass through, then equip and unequip the ring to create a new standing button, and this time activate it and do nothing until the animation completes, enabling clipping again.

Once you're finished with the standing button, simply strike it twice with any weapon or bash attack, and it will disappear in a few seconds. Leaving the button in place is also an acceptable option, if desired.

Notes:

  • The ring takes up no armor slots, so you can wear other rings or clothing items at the same time.
  • While clipping is disabled, you will be unable to effectively jump. You'll have to be creative if you wish to move upward, using stairs and similar objects at the correct angles. You can also sometimes move upward through objects by simply letting the standing button's animation finish normally, as it will leave you a few feet higher than when you started.
  • Rarely, you may be unable to draw your weapon after using the standing button. If this happens, simply leave the current cell (and return there, if desired) and the issue should be resolved.
