How It Works
Social skills are presented as Activate options while aiming your weapon at a target. Available options depend on which skills you have unlocked.
Humans
- Diplomacy
- Instigation
- Intimidation
- Manipulation
Robots
Requires the Robotics skill.
- Pacify
- Flee
- Frenzy
- Control
Creatures
Requires the Xenosociology skill.
- Pacify
- Flee
- Frenzy
- Control
Feedback & Results
- If a social skill attempt fails, a message is displayed along with audio feedback, matching the behavior of the vanilla scanner.
- Audio feedback is given for both success and failure.
- A cooldown is applied after a failed attempt before the skill can be used again.
Configuration
Social Skills Extended includes several gameplay options to tailor the experience:
- No Social Skill Reuse In Combat - Prevents another skill attempt while the target is still in combat. Enabled by default.
- Social Skills Outside Combat - Allows social skills to be used while aiming regardless of whether you are in combat with the target. Enabled by default.
- Social Skills Cooldown - Controls whether social skills are subject to a cooldown period after use and how much time is needed between attempts.
Compatibility & Extensibility
Designed to work with Non-Lethal Framework (not required) and Useful Brigs (not required).
