Vehicle Deployment and Switcher

DESCRIPTION Some people are irritated by the vehicle always being deployed when you land your ship (often right into a barrier or other obstruction) so I've come up with this, which is a bit of a workaround. You'll now have a "No Vehicle" option at the end of the vehicle selection screen, choosing this will mean no rover appears on landing, and no corresponding map marker for it will show.
You can build a vehicle selection panel on your ship (which matches the style of the panel used by Ramp Deployment Control) and/or use the "select active vehicle" switcher from your inventory, these are functionally the same and both bring up the vehicle selection screen and allow you to change your active vehicle on demand. The panel is in the misc tab of the ship decorator and the inventory switcher can be built at an industrial workbench, you'll need to have unlocked vehicles by purchasing the Rev-8 before either can be crafted.
This mod integrates with Simple Summon Rover if it is installed; if you try to summon the rover when it has been set to "No Vehicle", the switcher can optionally appear, allowing you to enable, select and summon a vehicle all at once. That is active by default if both mods are installed, but can be turned off in Gameplay Options. See the video for a demo.
There is unfortunately no way to automatically set the vehicle back to "No Vehicle" when you leave a planet that I've been able to find yet, so you will need to do this manually with the switcher if you don't want the rover to deploy next time but have just used it. You may find this quicker using the panel.
There is one caveat to using the vehicle switcher which you will be reminded of in a message when you first use it. If you've used the switcher to change vehicles, including using it via Simple Summon Rover, and you subsequently want to change vehicles again while still landed at the same location, you should continue to use the switcher to do so and not use a ship services technician's vehicle dialog. This is because the switcher has some additional checking to make sure the old vehicle you're changing from is properly cleaned up and removed. If you were to use a ship services technician, or the vehicle option on an outpost landing pad, there are some situations where the old vehicle might not be deleted, and would remain there. If you do wish to use the technician's vehicle option, you should do so either before using the switcher after leaving your ship, or if you have already used the switcher then land your ship at another location with a technician and use them instead. Or, tl;dr, just use the switcher!
