Bullet Train

Leveling in the hyperspace express lane.
This mod expedites leveling with boosted credits and XP, removes rank up challenges for skills, eases inventory restrictions, and adds a special chem and optional player perks with helpful buffs.
NOTE: If adding the mod to a playthrough in progress, sleeping on Venus (Sol System) for 24 hours is recommended to refresh vendor credits and inventory. You may need to pick up and drop or complete one of each mission type from mission boards to get updated credit rewards.
WHAT IT DOES
- Rank up challenges removed from all skills
- Vendor credit pools including ship services increased by 10x
- Credits rewards for base game main story, faction and side quests, and mission boards increased by 10x
- "The Emisssary" perk (optional) grants bonus crew slots, reactor power, grav jump range, max hull and hull repair
- "The Hunter" perk (optional) grants bonus max health and regen, carry weight, O2 reserve, and 10x XP multiplier
- "Bullet Train" chem grants effects of both perks for 24 hours with no lasting character changes
- "Rehumanizer" chem removes both player perks and restores character stats to ordinary values
- Galleon S204 Cargo Hold capacity increased (100,000), mass reduced, adds +1000 hull, level and skill requirements removed
- Outpost storage units capacity increased: Small Solid / Liquid / Gas / Warehouse (100,000), Transfer Container (10,000,000)
- Buildable basic Storage Crate capacity increased (100,000)
WHERE TO GET IT
All new and existing storage units and Galleon S204 Cargo Hold modules will have increased capacity. All base game quests and mission board assignments including Trackers Alliance will have increased credit rewards. All vendors including ship services will have boosted credit pools.
The "Bullet Train" chem is sold by vendors throughout the game including Trade Authority, general stores and outfitters, and med clinics. Ample supplies should be available in most hubs where common vendors are found. Effects of the chem are visible under Status Effects on the character window. Chem effects are temporary lasting 24 hours, so use it if you want only temporary buffs that may be easily removed. To dispel the effects of the chem use any convenient bed to sleep it off.
To acquire the player perks, go down to the Lodge basement, all the way to the end of the hallway, turn right, and find two data slates in a small ammo box on top of a large shipping crate in the last room. Read the slates to gain the perks. Effects are visible under Status Effects on the character window. Also included is a supply of the "Rehumanizer" chem which may be used at any time to remove the player perks and revert all of their buffs and effects. Note that you can only acquire the perks once. After using Rehumanizer to remove the perks, you can use Bullet Train for temporary 24-hour buffs.
MAKE IT GO AWAY
BEFORE REMOVING THE MOD make sure to DETOX BY SLEEPING OFF ANY BULLET TRAIN CHEMS and USE REHUMANIZER TO REMOVE PLAYER PERKS if you acquired them, so that all buffs and effects will be dispelled.
All other items, vendors, quests, and skills will revert naturally to their vanilla states when the mod is removed with no lingering effects. You will retain any skill ranks already unlocked, but new unlocks after the mod is removed will require the usual challenges to be completed.
COMPATIBILITY
Won't play well with things that edit base forms for any items listed above, like gameplay overhauls or mods that rebalance ship modules and outpost buildable items. For competing edits, whichever mod loads last wins. Released as a small master for load order economy.
