Cryomancers are a new faction introduced to the game that stemmed from the Spacers. They are more organized, have their own facilities, and use Cryogenics in all their science/technology. They aim to slow, freeze, and break anyone that stands in their way as they go unchecked in their advancements.

WHAT THIS MOD DOES When you walk around in The Well you'll get a mission that will lead you through the Cryomancer's 4 main headquarters. Along the way you will come across 3 companions with the option to join you. You will also find a new ship with a custom interior that is themed around this new faction. Those with the skill, and a good eye will come across 5 very strong unique weapons. Lastly there is a player home, or "Lair" you can get at the end of it all. It comes fully furnished with everything you could need, and is full of buttons/switches to interact with. Mission aside there are nearly 30 new randomly generated POIs you can discover. As you explore the many planets you'll come across them ranging from crash sights, caves, facilities, to large dungeons (The names will stand out, making them easy to spot). This new faction scales in level with the player, and has had their stats slightly boosted more than the others to making it so every encounter can be challenging. They also have their own locations, loot table, and items, making it compatible with all other creations.

ENEMY TYPES -Human = Scientist, Lab Worker, Miner, Robotics, Scout, Sniper, Assault, Charger, Heavy, and Boss -Altered Human = Cryo Brute -Creatures = Trained, Wild, Alpha, and Altered Cryobeasts -Robots = ModelA Cryobot, ModelS Cryobot, CryoDrone -Turrets = TallTurret, ShortTurret, Anti-Ship Cannons, Tanks -Dropships that release more enemies at your location

WEAPONS & GEAR -11 Weapons -4 Spacesuits (5 if you count a retextured mining spacesuit) -8 Backpacks -18 Helmets -1 Bandolier (worn with spacesuit) -10 Clothing items (outfits, masks, goggles, hats, backpacks)

HOW TO GET -Weapons/Gear: loot off the bodies, off the ground, from chests, and display. (all weapons, and gear have random stats, and legendries) -Unique Weapons: Hidden and locked away for you to find. -Ship: The mission will lead you to encounter it. -Companions: The mission will lead you to encounter them. Its up to you to have them join you or not. -House/Lair: The mission will lead you to its location.

TIPS -If you find it hard to see when a boss is using a Cryoblaster on you, use a Cryo Grenade to freeze them, and gain the upper hand. -Drones can spot you from far away, and will alert everyone of your presence. If you attack, or get to close, all will attack you.(Snipe the drones from a distance to avoid that) -Drone will often fly above you while you're dealing with enemies on the ground. (Remember to look up) -Their weapons are designed to slow you down. In large numbers they can freeze you in place for a few seconds. (Use an Amp to counteract the effects) -Melee weapons work best on Cryo Brutes, with the ability to block attacks.(If that fails, jump on something high to where they cant reach you.) -After you get Thrax, shoot him with the customizer to change his gear.(You should get a manual at the end of the 1st quest) -You'll need Piloting rank 4 to use the new ship. (You can always go back and get it later) -Quest marker. On mars when you're sent up the elevator to landing pad B. Ignore the game trying to send you back into the HQ. Instead use the elevator to get to the top like the quest says, and the quest marker will correct itself. -All POIs will have Cryo or Cryomancer in the name to easily spot them from the others. -When you dismiss your companion they will either head back to where you found them, or stay put untill you have them follow you again.

1.03 and 1.04 Update -Changed how the ship builder handles the custom Cryotech hab category so its compatible with other mods that make changes to the ship builder. -Fixed an issue with the Cryoknox ship hab. (middle floor hatch, and rear middle floor hatch where set incorrectly) -Large ships can now land on the landing pad at the Jemison HQ. -Fixed a docking issue with the Cryoknox ship. -Fixed a number of typos on some of the terminals, and dataslates. -Fixed the 3D model for the breather helmet to align properly while viewing it on the Spacesuit workbench . -Lowered damage on the Thrax customizer to avoid the chance of him attacking the player. -Added a copy of the Thrax manual to the box in his cage. -Fixed an issue with the Cryorifle AA79 laser sight not being upgradable. -Tweaks + balancing changes were made to the weapons, armor, and enemy stats. -Fixed one of the Cryobreach weapons from having duplicate mods on the workbench. -Updated weapon/armor names to show tier. -There are now fewer enemies at the four HQs -Cleaned up some junk edits in the esm that served no purpose. -Removed the player version of the Cryogen space helmet worn by the Brutes.

zone79 is an excellent mod author for Starfield with so many amazing armor and clothing mods and overhauls. This is his first larger effort adding an entire faction and quest line for a new set of weapon and armor add-ons. I love the design of them and zone79 makes clever use of parts of existing POIs merged together in unique ways to form most of the faction's new POIs. The companions are a bit lackluster (I was really hoping for a Brute after seeing the setup for the first couple) and the ship did not meet my expectations. The player home is pretty neat and well thought out, but I tend to not use them much if I'm on a playthrough with Darkstar enabled.
