This Patch Does The Following

Reworks crafting of the suits, helmets, packs, goggles, and mask
Upgrading and enhancement of the above
Upgrade to the DarkStar boostpacks
Use of gear in the codex machine
Crafting of an instructions slate at the resources bench for 1 Credit

Compatibility Because patch mods like this one disable achievements anyway, this patch was built for the free "Nomad Spacesuit" mod by zone79, not their "Nomad Spacesuit - Achievement Friendly" (currently listed for 100C). By all means, I encourage supporting zone79's work by purchasing the later, but if you're here, download both and disable the AF version in your load order.

Crafting Rework This is a Patch++ as a combined patch and rework. The original mod contained multiple semi-redundant armor components: two copies of each helmet and suit (each with high or low armor values) and four copies of each boostpack (2x high/low armor values multiplied by 2x optionally always visible). The high vs. low armor values are made redundant by the DarkStar suit enhancements, and the "always visible" boostpack option does not play well with DarkStar's suit hiding gameplay option. This patch entirely disables both the low armor versions and the always visible boostpack copies.

This change in approach does mean that the DSM Nomad Patch by MrMorgrimm is going to be incompatible. Thanks to bigdaddysamm on the DarkStar Discord server for reminding me of this!

If you wish to run both DarkStar together with DarkStar Manufacturing, continue to use the DSM Nomad Patch and do not enable this. If and when you do decide to go solo with DarkStar, use the Unity route:
