This mod is an INTEGRATION PATCH. Both of these mods work just fine side by side without this patch. What this mod accomplishes is full integration between the original and DarkStar, so that the original's assets can take full advantage of DarkStar's features. If you are seeking an achievement friendly playthrough, you can safely use the original mods together without issue. However, if you want to experience the original mod alongside DarkStar's entire featureset and gain access to the special features provided by this integration patch, then you will, of course, need this integration patch installed. Usage of this patch is entirely optional, and at the discretion of each individual player.
This patch integrates all of the Vigilance craftable object into DarkStar TGO.
Players can craft the Nightingale SMG at DarkStar weapon crafting benches once the appropriate prerequisites have been met. The Nightingale can be enhanced to Mk.II and Mk.III and retains the functions of the original Nightingale. No changes have been made to the NG+ enhancements on the weapon which allows it to remain competitive beyond the base game. The Mk.III magazing swap will correctly switch between standard and vile rounds with a corresponding damage change.
Players can craft the basic versions of the armor at DarkStar Crafting Benches once they have met the prerequisites for doing so in Vigilance itself or have been through the unity. Mk.II armor requires completing the requirements to craft advanced vigilance armor and can be crafted at the DarkStar enhancement bench. This also patch scales some Vigilance armor with NG+ completions up to NG+ 12. Players who have completed DarkStar research can unlock "DarkStar Armor" which incorporates DarkStar technology.
Players can craft the new grenades introduced by Vigilance at the DarkStar crafting bench. These grenades have not been altered from their base forms. Players can also craft the armor toggle at the industrial bench.
