DarkStar Boost Fixer

A simple Boostpack that corrects the most common boostpack bugs when you equip it. Has no boost power of its own. Simply acquire the Boost Fixer Pack, equip it, then swap back to any other Boostpack and enjoy your freedom.

How to Acquire:

Visit any Vendor inside a City or Spacestation that is able to sell Spacesuit parts.

How to Use:

Equip it!

How will I know if it worked?

If you hear a Powering Up sound effect, it worked.
If you hear a distance Explosion sound effect, it failed to fix your bug.

Technical Details / How It Functions:

The majority of boostpack bugs are caused because of the way they work. When an Actor equips a Boostpack with an Enchantment, the Enchantment applies Ability Modifiers which ultimate adjust Actor Values assigned to the Actor. For example: BoostpackDrainInitial.

When an Actor is bugged, these Actor Values are locked at a minimum value GREATER than ZERO, and when they then equip a pack that tries to adjust them, they end up doubling, tripling or quadrupling. This pushes the values far beyond acceptable range, resulting in instant, 100% fuel drain and other such bugs.

This can be caused by uninstalling mods that provided a boostpack enchantment the player was using, or usine commands or mods to alter boostpack enchantment on suits like the Starborn suits, which come with a pre-assigned Boostpack Enchantment (that the mod has to remove to avoid this bug, and it sometimes gets missed by the author).

These bugs can also be caused by poorly timed crashes, and other rare game hiccups.

Once these bugs occur, there is no easy way to fix the character and most often the result is the player has to ROLL BACK their save.

This Mod aims to resolve that by using a Papyrus Script that sets every non-Fuel Actor Value on the Actor to 0, and the Fuel value to 100... which is what they should be when the Actor is naked.

This should work for MOST players on both Xbox and PC.
