THANKS TO THE AMAZING SAMICH WE NOW HAVE IN-GAME SETTINGS!!! Not only did he fix the FreeLanes breakage, but now Settings can be accessed through Gameplay Options!!!
At this time inventory is close to fully customizable, and all of the "core presets" that M8R originally packaged are available for HUD and Workbench.
Inventory has a dataslate, given to the player at gamestart (even in the middle of an existing save) that will have a QR code on it to get the config string for Inventory (more to follow)

Important Note If you play cross-platform (GamePass PC and XBox) your synchronized saves will display an error that it cannot load this on the PC side. Whether you have the Nexus StarUI installed on your Windows Gamepass install or not, it's PERFECTLY OK -- The "Nexus Side" is a PURE interface override, and there is NO esm/esp that the game file can detect.
This "error" may be safely ignored, as it will not affect your game play at all, and should be resolved once you've made a new save on the PC side (rolling back to the "imported save" will likely trigger the message again.
To "fast scroll" the quantity you're crafting use LB/RB to change quantities.
The only other value I changed was turning on the FormID display in the Item cards.

This is a hard mod to live without once you've started using it. Things that add so much value: - ability to buy or sell everything in an inventory category - showing how much you own of something when browsing a vendor - value per mass calculation it adds everywhere (not just in monetary worth but in value-add for various ship parts like cargo-to-mass ratio for cargo parts) It really helps make it quicker to decide whether something is worth picking up or purchasing. This is by far one of the best UI enhancements I've seen. However, it's not perfect on console. The ship builder UI starts to take up a larger amount of the visible screen which can make it a bit more difficult to share the parts. Also, it tries to render a preview of parts, so larger categories like Structural can take much longer to load each time you bring it up for new parts.
