Preparing for Free Lanes Update + Terran Armada Story Expansion

How are you preparing?

I realized a week or two ago that my main character, around level 150, that I kept achievement-friendly (which I got all the achievements awhile ago with) since the beginning now had several paid mods on it. They are all achievement-friendly, but many won't work right after the update. It includes things like DarkStar, RYOS, Waylayer, Real Lights, etc. (see links below).

So at least a week ago I created a new character and switched to a Vanilla+ experience where my only rule was to add mods written by Bethesda. This mainly includes the Deimog, a few gun skins, and the newly expanded Trackers Alliance: Complete Bounty Series. I figure they should be the most compatible things out there right out of the gate.

This new character of mine is now around level 15 or so and chipping away at the main and UC Vanguard quest lines before doing a few of the Trackers Alliance bounties again. I'll also try to build up my affinity with Andreja and Barrett and take one of them to help face this new armada threat.

How are others preparing?

I also removed all my mods, excluding the ones made by Bethesda, in preparations that any of them may not work after the update tomorrow. Was a bit of a hassle to clean up, since I love using the furniture mods and I like making outposts everywhere, lol, but I can confidently say my mod list is ready post update and my characters are ready to play the whole new experience.

I got my main character at lvl 47 atm, but I also got a fresh character waiting in the background. I'm going to start with the fresh character first to experience the whole update/dlc shebang from the beginning. I think it be the best way to experience it firsthand. Eventually I'll get back to using 3 characters like I usually do, but I got no timeline for the 3rd one for the time being. I need to see how this whole update/dlc goes and figure out how to make the next character fit in. For my main, she's is in Darza atm, and I'm going to keep her there, since I got no mods that affects that whole area generally, until some time after the update- hopefully when mods get up-to-date and safe to use again outside this dlc area!

Only 1 day left! I can't wait! Been a long 2 weeks, hah.
