Stroud Premium Edition
This is one of my favorite mods for habs. Love their interior design and it works well with Place Doors Yourself (with a patch mod, I think). Highly recommend this one.
Antares - Starfoundry
Pretty cool parts but their style doesn't fit as well as I'd like in the Starfield universe.
DarkStar Astrodynamics
Loved this free version of Darkstar for just the ship building. In some ways, I prefer it to the paid version with its normal landing pad for your outpost. The weapons and engines and shields are a bit overpowered - so much so I sometimes do playthroughs without any Darkstar mods.
200 Ship Crew Slots
Super simple and effective. Build a huge ship, stick this one part on it and recruit up to 200 crew members. Perfect.
Color Filter Removal
After playing the game the first year without mods, I remember being stunned by the impact of this mod. I recently tried a new playthrough with it removed and didn't miss it much. Weird. I'd still recommend it! It's free and it might be very impactful for some.
Darker Nights
Simple but effective mod. Just make sure to grab whatever flashlight mod you prefer with this. You'll definitely need it.
Darker Space
This is a small enhancement but a meaningful one to me. I like space being darker so the stars stand out more. I think Bethesda had too much ambient light in areas, so this helps with that in space.
ASC Deimos Ships
Terrific examples of ships you can build with ASC Deimos parts. Use them for inspiration or build upon them with other mod or vanilla parts.
ASC Deimos
Easily one of the best ship part mods in the game. I love the hardened military look of these structural pieces and what you can build with them. It takes a bit of practice to learn how they can fit together. If you buy this mod, I recommend grabbing the free ASC Deimos Ships mod to get great examples in the game of ships you can build with these parts.
Shade's Immersive Looting
This is particularly handy early on when you're short on cash and gear - though the extra gear will quickly make you encumbered. Great quality of life improvement for the game and a must have for me.
Starfield Spacer Overhaul
Love the distinct looks this overhaul gives Spacers. Really brings out the Mad Max vibe with them and some of the suits get quite powerful as you face higher level enemies. I wish there was an option for different skin colors to add to the scrappy scavenger look even more.
Bounty Hunter Outfit - (ZBB)
My favorite clothing mod from zone79, this adds lots of options for those that favor the space cowboy look. I tend to add at least 3-4 items from this collection on my characters. They usually fit so nicely together.
