Enter the Crimson Market

Are you a pirate looking for a reason to visit your pirate buddies across the galaxy? Look no further! Crimson Market adds merchants to thirteen different existing POIs for Crimson Fleet members. Find the details lower in the description.

1.1.1 Update fixes missing city maps and addresses inconsistent NPC dialogue

New in 1.1: -Tell Shinya you want to visit some Fleet outposts and he'll send you to see a vendor from this mod! -Adjust the Max Galbank Escorts in your Gameplay Options to reduce Barchanik mission difficulty, rewards, and your dignity!

-Enjoy light banter with other pirates! Talk some smack and see how they respond!

-Visit a Chop n Shop to register stolen ships for a flat rate or repair your ship without returning to the settled systems!

-Purchase chems from traffickers found in various alleys!

-Purchase a limited selection of rare, epic, and legendary pirate weapons at some vendors!

-Spend the night at The Doubletap Room, or just grab a drink and choose from a great weapon selection that you can improve further by completing quests for Jacob!

-Have some Chunks while the Barchanik fixes up your ride, and then take on a dangerous mission to hijack a Galbank freighter so Stapleton can improve her ship part inventory if you've recovered Kryx's Legacy!

-Inventory everywhere improves after recovering Kryx's Legacy and siding with the fleet.

What People Are Saying

"I want to play Starfield, not Dark Souls" -Crimson Flyboy

"That looks real slick man, I like it." -My buddy who hasn't played Starfield

"That's amazing!" -My mother about something unrelated while on vacation

"Rrrrrrrhhhhh" -My stomach, all the time

"It's actually pretty cool" -Maybe you later today!

But what does it actually DO?

The details.

-Content is added to thirteen existing POIs, no additional POIs are added by this mod. It will only be enabled if you are a Crimson Fleet member, otherwise you will see no changes.

-Tell Shinya you want to check out some Fleet outposts and you'll receive a mission to visit one. This will roll through twelve locations, everything but Sonny's island because you can find that on your own. It will repeat after that. You can abandon any you don't want to visit and they won't come up again until everything else has been generated. You'll get a quest marker to each vendor at the location, one after the other, and you can see from the quest description what will be there before going.

-Pirate dialogue is voiced using existing voice lines from the game. Some of them can feel slightly off, for example the questgivers don't give a great description when they send you on a quest. I don't find it out of place enough to be jarring, and I tried to lean towards fittingly amusing responses so nothing seems like nonsense. There are 4-5 topics with single responses, you're not having a real conversation but it gives you a chance to say hi which I find more immersive. You can insult them until they fight you, probably don't want to fight the bartenders.

-Stores vary in complexity, you might find a trafficker doped out on a rug or a decorated bar with weapon display cases.

-Chop N Shops have a limited selection of parts and ships but offer flat-rate ship registration that gets cheaper after recovering Kryx's Legacy for the fleet.

-The Doubletap Room repeatable mission involves going to other stores and stealing supply chain information so Jacob (Proprietor of The Doubletap Room) can use that info to improve his inventory. Pay attention to your quest log for these, the marker is not on the container and you will need to find it based on the name. Sorry, Jacob only heard some rumors about where it's kept. The slate can be taken from you if you're caught and it's up to you to recover it to complete the mission. Every fourth mission takes you to a specialized location which improves selection of related guns, and it's structured so you shouldn't repeat locations until you've hit them all.

-There's also a bed for rent at The Doubletap Room, it's just a bed in the corner.

-The Barchanik repeatable mission involves destroying a number of escorts and capturing a Galbank freighter. I wanted it to be on the challenging side but rewarding, there will be two base escorts plus one for every twenty player levels up to 240. I have found it to be very challenging, keeping one enemy alive in a battle like that is tricky. Each time the mission is complete, on top of a hefty financial sum the Barchanik ship part inventory improves with an additional four random keywords, after ten missions you should have the complete selection of parts available. Because it's so rewarding, it takes 5-9 days to be able to complete the mission again. Stapleton can't just pull Galbank freighters out of a hat. As of Version 1.1, you can lower the number of Galbank escorts in your Gameplay Options. Cash and experience rewards are reduced accordingly and you will disappoint your family.

-PC users can start quest TiconLOC_CFP_StartTest (XX00FB6F) to start a quest that generates all thirteen POIs. As of version 1.1 these should all spawn as Crimson Fleet POIs.

Life of Crime

Life of Crime is a series of independent mods designed to flesh out an area of criminal life in Starfield. My overall goal is to give players a variety of options for thriving while roleplaying as a bad guy. No longer will we feel pressured to pay off our bounties to participate in society, we'll build our own society!
