These are just subtle texture edits of various creatures in the game. For the most part it tones down some of the more vibrant colors on the ones I've edited making them blend into the landscape a bit more and gives them distinctive claws and teeth.

After going on a galaxy wide hunting spree, attempting to bag at least one of every creature, I decided that some of the creatures needed a makeover.

Although there are exceptions, my head-cannon is, unless the creature is trying to find a mate or is poisonous and trying to warn you off, it will try to blend in with its surroundings rather than stand out. --- Especially if it is primarily considered prey or an ambush predator.

Some of Bethesda's creature color choices seemed excessive, boldly standing out from their landscapes for no reason, making them easy targets when hunting them. Of the ones I've altered, if there are variant types of a species, then I've retextured the various areas such as the eyes, inner mouths, teeth and claws to look similar on each variant and/or made them more resemble bone, chitin or keratin rather than Bethesda's approach of sometimes just throwing a different shaded color palette over everything.

Only the actual edited textures are included, for the most part that would only be the _color.dds. If I edited other items, such as the_normal or or _mask they're included as well. --- The most noticeable change is with the quadruped 'C' Brainsprout, in which I removed the wormlike eye extensions (turned transparent) and replaced the base of the eye with a bug like faceted eye texture. --- All textures were left in their default vanilla sizes.

There is a little over 200 different creature types in the game not counting color variations which puts the total well over 1000, and I've texture altered a little over 50 of them also not counting color variations. If you decide you don't like one of my edits, simply delete that creatures texture folder and it will revert back to vanilla.

I'm right at my ba2 limit. I've left them as loose textures so you can choose which ones to install. The folder paths are set to place them where the game is able to read it. --- I manually install all of my mod files and keep a separate text document of changes I've made. I don't use installers, seeing as every one I've used eventually loses something or tries to update and change something without my knowledge or permission.

Trying to re-find all of them and take a decent screen shot of each would take me vastly longer that the texture editing that I did, so the images are NifSkope renders of how the main variant would appear in the game, although NifSkope and Blender weren't used for anything more than to identify and isolate the various parts I wanted to edit.

Tools used: NifSkope v2.0.dev9 Blender v4.0 Photoshop v25.0
