Crimson Fleet Outfitted
Community Rating
This overhauls the Crimson Fleet by making them Equip clothing when in locations which do not require a spacesuit.
Update Info at bottom of description (I would suggest deleting and re-installing the mod as simply updating doesn't always work)
Photos were taken with my other mod enemy face variety which gives the enemies more faces, I would suggest you download that mod as well for a more immersive experience.
The crimson fleet you fight will now wear:
- 5 Base Game Crimson Fleet Outfits (Not Delgado's)
- 12 new mashup/retextured Outfits
- 3 retextured hats & 1 mask
- Along with some basegame headgear and the eyepatch
- December update adds 3 new fleet outfits made in blender with working morphes and a backwards batball cap.
Sometimes the pirates decide to wear their spacesuits even when they should be wearing the outfits.
The pirates are divided into 5 categories when it comes to spacesuits in the base game so I mimicked this when making the mod.
In the base game these distinctions determine the weapon each pirate uses ie. snipers use semi auto rifles and support uses pistols and submachine guns. It also determines which of the crimson fleet spacesuits they will wear, which is why these categories with the exception of the Boss category each have a crimson fleet spacesuit with the same name (except heavy which is the charger spacesuit)
Each group will now look more visually different.
-
Pirate: This covers the majority of crimson fleet, every outfit except for the Poncho, Naeva's outfit, and the base game grey and red captains coats is used by these NPC's.
-
Support: Every support class Pirate wears the Beige and Red Crimson fleet jumpsuit that Jazz wears in the Base game. These enemies are quite rare only appearing at most three times per POI.
-
Heavy: Heavy Classed enemies wear Base game Crimson Fleet Spacesuits without the helmet.
-
Officer: Officer Classed Pirates will always wear a black reskin of the Merc hat (Paxton's Hat) or a black beret. Most dirty or lower level looking outfits like the Crimson Tee are also left out of the Officer's apparel, the officer's also have a chance of spawning with the grey trench coat from the base game.
-
Sniper: Sniper class enemies wear the Poncho and Grey captains coat only. As well as all the new hats. Snipers can also spawn with the merc hat and beret.
-
Boss: Boss level enemies are normally the high level enemy you find at the end of a dungeon. If you went to the location following a quest from a mission board they will be the enemy you need to take out. They will wear the red pirate captain coat or a mash-up of Neava's outfit.
-
Crew: Similarly to my Galactic Outfits Redistributed Mod, the Crimson fleet crew will now wear the Beige and red Crimson Fleet jumpsuit as opposed to the generic unbranded beige flight-suit normally assigned to them. (I have tested both mods at the same time and can confirm they both work in tandem)
-
Any pirate who already wore an apparel item has been left unchanged.
How to Obtain
To obtain these outfits simply kill pirates, The base game has a function where enemies drop what they are wearing at a small chance (No Scripting Involved) , as such every pirate you kill has a small chance of dropping a new outfit even if they were wearing a spacesuit.
Alternatively if you are playing as a pirate I understand you likely do not want to kill pirates and incur a bounty, as such I have prepared a little scavenger hunt. (Three new outfits in the December update are also lootable on The Key)
Scavenger Hunt
Throughout the Key every new outfit has been placed, some are easy to find and others are well hidden, Can you find them all?
A mash-up of Neava's outfit which is used exclusively by the boss level enemies can be found on the bed of the crimson fleet room given to the player at the end of the Crimson fleet quest-line.
If you have already completed the Crimson fleet quest-line siding with Sysdef most of the outfits can still be acquired by visiting the key, but some areas where outfits have been placed are blocked off at the end of the quest.
Scripting, This is mod Technical Jargon but Scripting is unnecessary as the Pirates did not have an outfit assigned to begin with, as such in order to make this mod I had to give them a new levelled list which does not require scripting (Only editing existing Levelled Lists requires scripting.)
The negative drawback is that if someone wanted to add more outfits they would need to make it dependant on this mod, and if you have another mod that does the same thing as this mod it is sadly on or the other they both can't work in Tandem.
To fix the issue where Crimson Fleet faces repeat I have uploaded a companion mod to this called Enemy Face Variety, which fixes the issue by adding more faces to the enemies.
Feb 1st Update

What’s new Three New outfits (Seen in the First image of the slideshow) plus additions to the outfits already added, these three outfits have been added to the levelled list of all un-classed Pirates. A backwards variant of the fleet bat ball cap. Backwards hat and waist cape outfit have also been added to the sniper class levelled list. Additions include more wrist-wear and recoloured gloves to make the fleet feel more kitted out. Re-mesh of Voss’s outfit to remove the bomb, making his unique to the ones which spawn on random Crimson Fleet. A retexture of Neava’s outfit which has been given to boss level enemies, Neava’s outfit remains unique to her. All new outfits have been added to the
Fixes:
-
Fixed missing glove skin layer mesh for all new outfits with gloves
-
Fixed issue where the Officer spacesuit would clip through showing the skin layer beneath on Female NPC’s in the heavy class
-
Recoloured the gloves to be dark grey instead of white.
-
Fixed clipping issues on the hands with gloves, before the hand model would clip through the gloves, this no longer happens.
-
Fixed issues with kit bashed Fleet jackets where the handcuffs and aspects of the belt would clip through the waist area on both male and female versions of the outfit.
-
Fixed oversight I previously made in the Fleet crew that allowed the Biege crew jumpsuit jumpsuit to spawn in rare cases.
