Starborn Prime - Unfinished

== DESCRIPTION ==

This mod serves as an expansion to the Starborn lore, introducing the mystery of the Spear of Infinity and the figure known as Prime.

The mod includes two complete quests with full AI-generated voice acting (via ElevenLabs). Once you finish both quests, the persistent content that remains in your game is: two unlockable companions and a new vendor selling weapons with Starborn-powered enchantments.

When I say "incomplete," I mean the story doesn't continue past the main quest — there's no follow-up content after the ending. What's here is fully playable from start to finish; it just doesn't extend beyond that.

== HOW TO START ==

Main Quest: Load your save with the mod active. The main quest will trigger automatically as soon as your game session begins.

Side Quest: Once you recruit your new companion, the side quest will become available by asking them to stop following you (dismissing them).

== REQUIREMENTS ==

Shattered Space DLC.

== MAIN FEATURES ==

Two New Quests. The first triggers automatically upon installing the mod. The second can be initiated by asking your new companion to stop following you (dismissing them).

Two New Companions. One companion with custom dialogue and a distinct identity, plus a secondary "crew member" type follower.

Quantum Gear Enchantments. New weapon and armor modifications powered by Starborn quantum energy, providing unique combat buffs.

== RECOMMENDED ==

Recommended Level: It is highly recommended that your character be at a high level (Level 50+) before starting this content.

Combat Readiness: Significant portions of this mod are heavily combat-oriented. Ensure you are well-equipped with ammunition and medical supplies before boarding the Spear of Infinity.

== WARNING ==

This mod contains adult language, mature themes, and violence.

== BUG REPORTS ==

Being incomplete doesn't mean it has to be broken — if you run into any bugs, please report them on the Nexus Mods page (Creations doesn't have a comments section).

This is also my first mod release for PS5 and Xbox, and since I don't own either console, I haven't been able to test the mod on them before release. I can't fully guarantee that all audio and texture files will work correctly on consoles. If you run into any platform-specific issues, please let me know on Nexus so I can try to address them.

== WHY THIS MOD IS UNFINISHED ==

I started working on this mod shortly after Starfield launched, almost two and a half years ago. I spent about two months on it before stepping away from the game, planning to come back once Starfield received the kind of major updates I was hoping for. After waiting through Shattered Space and Free Lanes, I decided it was time to stop waiting and release what I have, since none of the updates so far have focused on fixing what I consider the core issues.

I stripped out the incomplete parts and put together a clean, functional base — two quests, two companions, and a vendor. The original plan was a much larger questline, but I no longer have plans to continue development.

If the game ever gets meaningful improvements to space exploration so it feels less repetitive, or to the dialogue system so the player character feels more like a part of the world (closer to Fallout 4) instead of a floating camera or a mannequin, I might come back and give it another shot.

I hope you enjoy the mod anyway. It may be small, but there's genuine love in what's here.
