Ecliptic Outfitted

This mod outfits the Ecliptic with all-new outfits, which they will wear when they are in locations which don’t require spacesuits.

This mod includes multiple outfits made using Blender, all new outfits have character morphs.

Important note In the base game, the Ecliptic have only 4 faces, as such, I recommend using my mod enemy face variety which adds more Ecliptic faces. (All photos were taken with both mods installed)

This mod adds new outfits which all follow a uniform look and give the Ecliptic a militaristic feel. Recruit, Infantry, Scout & Spec-ops Outfits all have multiple variations which add variety without breaking the uniform look.

The base game has the Ecliptic divided into classes. The game uses these classes to determine which class of weapon each Mercenary gets, ex. Officer gets pistols and SMGs, so these classes are what the mod uses to differentiate which uniforms are given to which Ecliptic.

Recruit

The Recruit class makes up the bulk of the Ecliptic force they are unseasoned and Expendable. Their Uniform is comprised of the new Ecliptic Uniform button-up shirt with or without ammo straps, sometimes they can be seen in a dark grey uniform tee as well. They wear a grey Beret which helps denote them as lowly foot soldiers. Some Recruits will also wear the field cap or a beret with headphones.

Infantry

Better armed and more skilled, the Infantry are the seasoned soldiers who make the Ecliptic feared among the Settled Systems. These soldiers wear the Standard Ecliptic Uniform with a lightweight Bulletproof vest. They also wear a grey and blue helmet or a Uniform matching field cap.

Mechanic

Every fighting force needs support, these techs usually don’t see combat, but they will defend themselves when a spacefarer from Constellation knocks down their door. These technicians wear a base game mechanic outfit retextured to match the Ecliptics colour scheme. They wear a retextured SSO cap with headphones as well as a new custom variant without headphones, which is also used by the Scouts.

Scout

These seasoned soldiers are well-trained snipers who know their worth and don’t abide by Ecliptic Command's strict Uniform code, and the leaders have stopped trying to force them into it. These renegade soldiers wear the Ecliptic Grey tee with straps and a navy scarf. They wear the new SSO cap without headphones, and many of them even wear it backwards in defiance of the rules. Some can be seen wearing navy blue berets, an old Ecliptic uniform cap, which has now been replaced.

Spec Ops

Ecliptic Spec-Ops are lower in rank than the officers, but oftentimes more experienced. The Spec-Ops are well-armoured, these soldiers stand their ground and wield heavy weapons. They wear armoured navy fatigues with blue accents. They can be seen wearing the spec ops helmet or the Officers' cap.

Officers

The Ecliptic Officers are the arm of the Captains, they delegate tasks and keep every operation running smoothly, oftentimes veterans of the colony war, these soldiers are here for the fame and fortune. The Officers wear a formal Officer Uniform with an armoured pauldron on the shoulder. They wear a silver and grey Mercenary hat and Junior officers wear the field cap.

Captains

Ecliptic Captains are the leaders of each squad; they accept and carry out contracts and sit at the top of the hierarchy. These mercenaries can be seen wearing a blue and grey Captain's jacket on top of the officer Uniform, the jacket has a golden belt which matches their gold Captain's hat. (The captains are the bosses at the end of a dungeon. If you are sent to kill an Ecliptic through a mission board, it is almost always an Ecliptic Captain.)

How to get the new Outfits

The new outfits, like my other mods, can be obtained by killing Ecliptic soldiers. The base game makes it so that any killed NPC has a small percentage to drop whatever outfit they are wearing.

Scavenger hunt

The new outfits have been added to the Vultures Roost, the Ecliptic base located in the Jaffa system. There are a lot of outfits, so it is pretty easy to find them. But the more valuable and rarer outfits are well hidden, so don't expect to find them all easily. Unbranded versions of the outfit have also been added to the location.

Other locations which have been changed, Virtually every encounter with Ecliptic in quests will be affected,(unless of course it takes place on a planet without 02). Red Mile Security wear the same outfits as the Recruit class.

Compatibility

Any mod which adds ecliptic enemies should work with this mod, as long as the creator used the base game ecliptic soldiers as enemies in their mod, if the Author for some reason, made new Ecliptic Npc’s, then this mod won’t work on the Ecliptic added by another mod.

March 20th UPDATE: Fixed dirty edits using xedit. Fixed a mesh on the Uniform, which would detach from the NPCs when they were in ragdoll mode. Reverted the Ecliptic at the Red Mile to its vanilla state. Added a new helmet to the Heavy class, added a beret with headphones to the recruit, engineer, & Scout classes. Added a scavenger hunt.

Future: I have one more update planned for this mod, which intends to add a speech modulating neuro amp to explain their modulated voices away. It will likely take me a while to get it finished since I am working on so many other things. I put this part of the update out early because of the Free Lanes update which launches soon.
