Space Adept is flatly terrible. Other mods seem to focus on removing the penalty or switching the conditions. I thought, a weapon specially designed for a spacesuit-gloved hand would be significantly easier to wield when actually wearing a spacesuit. And significantly more difficult with a bare hand. So, that's where I went.
Space Adept will now increase damage by 30% while you are wearing a spacesuit, and decrease damage by 15% when you aren't wearing a spacesuit.
