Important: ● This is a preview build that is not complete.
Goals: ● Provide stair habs for multi-deck access using configurations otherwise unavailable. ● Use layouts that allow for easy navigation throughout. ● Allow access to all of the default connection options where possible. ● Use of vanilla assets to maintain good performance and small file size. ● Compatibility with Place Doors Yourself.
Current habs: Habs are available in fore/aft/port/stbd facings. Press the flip key in the builder to cycle between them. 2×1×2s become 1×2×2 for port/stbd facings. ● 1×1×2 straight-staircase hab with slim-wall interior matching exterior in empty/railing variants. ├ Only portholes will make an opening in the top. └ The bottom plug will accept a porthole, docker, or landing bay. ● 2×1×2 split straight-staircases hab with slim-wall interior matching exterior in empty/railing variants. ├ There are two staircases facing opposite directions. The direction in the name of the hab indicates the facing of the first staircase. └ The first staircase is on the port side of the 2x1x2, and fore of the 1x2x2 rotation. ● 2×1×2 straight-staircase hab with Stroud interior in empty/storage variants. ● 2×2×2 straight-staircase stairhub with Stroud interior in empty/cargo/worklab variants. └ You can use either the outer two plugs or the center one, on each deck and side of this hab.
Other parts: ● [Decor] Buildable walkway railing, for if you want a railing for the upper walkway. Costs 4 aluminum, 3 structural material. ├ Comes in two variants, across and along, for the x and y axes. └ They start at preset angles, instead of being based on character facing, to make placement easier. ● [Decor] Buildable medium railing, similar to the walkway railing. Costs 2 aluminum, 1 structural material. ● [Decor] Buildable small railing, similar to the other two. Costs 1 aluminum, 1 structural material.
