Forgotten Frontiers expands Starfield’s universe with five striking, handcrafted locations where danger and discovery await. Seamlessly integrated with the bounty and radiant quest systems, these points of interest (POIs) appear as you scan and explore planets across the galaxy.
Brave the Volcanic Caves: Navigate the dark and twisting tunnels, making your way to the molten core - in a sprawling dungeon teeming with danger.
Scale the Mountain-Top Comms Station: Seize control of a stronghold perched on a treacherous peak.
Uncover the Underground Research Bunker: Engage in close-quarters combat as you unravel the secrets of this once-hidden research facility.
Storm the Abandoned Fortified Starport: Fight your way through a heavily defended military complex and salvage valuable tech in a massive, high-risk battleground.
Investigate the Industrial Pumping Station: Maneuver through tight corridors in an industrial site now overrun with hostiles.
These radiant discoverable POIs offer interesting new locations, challenging encounters, and hidden secrets for explorers ready to brave Starfield’s Forgotten Frontiers.
UPDATE 1.05: Customize location rarity with the new "Forgotten Frontiers Rarity" Gameplay Option:
• "Realistic" mode functions as originally designed, with unique constraints to spawn such as biomes, traits, atmosphere of the planet, and human presence. • "Common" mode slightly increases spawn frequency and only limits locations by biome and human presence. • "Easy" mode increases the spawn frequency even more and only limits spawns by human presence.
Compatibility: Compatible with almost all mods such as "POI Variations - No More Duplicates", "Desolation - POI Overhaul", "Bedlam Dungeon Randomizer" and "Extremely High Human POI Density".

A great POI mod with a focus on combat interactions. The areas are huge and full of enemies. It's fun going into one and fighting a whole army for your reward. I will say, due to how stuffed these POIs are with enemies, it's nearly impossible to go through them with a stealth or sniper build since the enemies are everywhere, and reaching hiding spots or sneaking up to an enemy often puts you in the path of sight. Wish it was tweaked to allow these kind of builds to be fully viable.
These are some of the best user-created POIs I've seen in the mod community thus far. You get 5 complex, larger scale POIs for 500 credits, and they tend to play nicely with other mods that work on all POIs like Bedlam. Be sure to grab the other mod that lets you control the rarity of their appearance if you're having trouble running across them as you explore. I love the Starport and Mountain-Top POIs the best in this mod.
