Beneath the volcanic surface of Mars lies the Ares VI Bio-Research Facility, hidden in the ruins of an old caelumite mine. Officially, the facility was built to study how caelumite interacts with alien DNA, with the hope of uncovering new cures and accelerating terraforming. Unofficially, the United Colonies Advanced Warfare Division saw another opportunity: to engineer a super-soldier virus. They combined caelumite-enhanced alien DNA with human test subjects, creating Project Revenant, an attempt to design post-human warriors. But the serum proved unstable, twisting subjects into aggressive, zombie-like creatures with heightened strength and regenerative abilities. The UC called them failures. The survivors called them monsters, zombies. Your old friend and undercover ally, infiltrated Ares VI to uncover its secrets. He discovered the truth behind Project Revenant, but during his escape, he was infected. Before collapsing, he sent you a message: the only way to cure me is to recover the original antidote formula, hidden across the labs in data fragments, vials, and tissue samples.
Your mission: infiltrate Ares VI, piece together the formula, and cure your friend before he loses his humanity. You can hire an experimental Revenant Follower to help you out if necessary.
