Smart Fabricators is a free upgrade to Smart Containers 2.0, introducing fully automated crafting into the existing Distribution Center → Smart Container workflow.

Resources are still sorted and pushed to Smart Containers from the Distribution Center. With version 3.0, Smart Fabricators now pull resources directly from Smart Containers (and other FABs) to craft downstream items — no wires, no micromanagement.

Your outpost becomes a complete, self-balancing production system.

IMPORTANT UPGRADE NOTE

Version 3.0 requires existing Smart Containers 2.0 objects to be removed before installing.

Upgrade steps:

Load a save before installing version 3.0

Visit all outposts with Smart Containers or Distribution Centers

Disable auto-sell and remove any stored credits

Delete all DCs and Smart Containers

Save the game

Install version 3.0 and rebuild
