Ever wanted to pirate the pirates with nothing but a steal blade and a few health packs?
Now you can.
Dive into a new era of spacefaring adventure with "Swashbuckler" a mod that transforms your Starfield experience into a melee-only saga. Leave your firearms behind and embrace the art of close-quarters combat as you traverse the cosmos.
"Swashbuckler" offers a different and interesting way to experience Starfield, challenging you to master the art of melee combat in a vast and diverse galaxy. Whether you're seeking the thrill of hand-to-hand combat or the prestige of being the galaxy's most feared swashbuckler, this mod delivers that adventure. Prepare to engage in epic duels and leave your mark as a true warrior of the stars.
- Intended for a fresh playthrough or a NG+ (but I won't stop you if you want to try it on a previous save)
- Completely disabled all ranged weapons except for turrets and bots, including Vasco.
- The cutter does no damage to humans, fauna and only allows you to mine resources.
- Enemies are all melee, so be careful to not to get swarmed
- Companions are all now melee except for Vasco who still uses his ranged laser (hopefully anyways, please let me know if not)
- Disabled perks that are for ranged weapons
- Moved some perks around into the combat tree
- Changed some of the starter background traits
- Removed grenades
- Mines are still present and usable except the frag and shrapnel
- As there are not many melee weapons currently, at low levels you will mostly see axes, shivs and barrow knives. As you get to level 20+ you'll start to see more blades drop. -Removed player and enemy health scaling, this is so you're not there for 20 hours hacking away at one enemy
PLEASE NOTE
- I have not tested this on NG+ so please share you experiences (politely on Nexus)
ISSUES
- Weapon and display cases may still show weapons in/on them
- Cutter still acts like it is hitting a human or beast despite not killing them
- Some NPCs such as Lin in the tutorial when the Crimson Fleet attack, she will still equip a pistol despite it removed from her inventory
- Possibly more story NPCs that I may have missed
- Probably a slew of bugs which have yet to be discovered (let me know on Nexus)
