While plasma weapons excelled in speed and zero-G maneuverability, their advantage over lasers wasn't significant enough to justify the cost. As a result, they lost the format war to laser weapons and became a novelty, embraced only by small companies like Plasmite.

This mod introduces two new weapons, Plasmite IonStorm and X-15 Hyena. Weapons come with various mods, NG+ internals and multiple skins. Mod is made to be compatible with AmmoHUD and Additional Weapon Icons (however, confirm compatibility with the respective authors). Models are made by me and they come with 2k textures.

How to use

To get you started, Plasma weapons are free to take at Laredo Firearms, located in Akila City, Cheyenne system, upstairs behind a locked steel door. To obtain more powerful versions, weapons and ammo can be purchased from vendors. Battery cells can also be crafted at industrial workbenches (requires ammunition research). Weapons may also occasionally appear on enemies.

You can spawn weapons by opening console and typing "help bub" Console will print item names and (weapon ID). Then type player.additem (WEAPON ID)

Few words from the author

This is my take on plasma weapons, which, for some reason, never made it to Starfield. I tried to keep the designs true to the setting and not go overly sci-fi, as plasma weapons are often portrayed.
