Photo albums and Polls

Here are some of the latest new additions on the site.

Photo Albums

By request, I've added support for photo albums on the site for those users that want to upload their photos while also keeping them organized such as:

• Doing a new playthrough with different characters?
• Want to show off a mod you're working on?
• Doing a series of photos that don't align with existing photo tags?

The first album I've created is to collect my daughter's works for Adventures of Galacticat. She has been spending a lot of time on her first piece that I'll upload soon. As an aspiring artist, she is taking the opportunity to practice new shading and lighting techniques on her next work.

Another feature of albums is that any users can follow them such that new uploads to it will trigger a notification for those that follow it.

How to Setup

On your user dashboard, you should see a new sidebar (or subsection) called Albums. Go there and you can create as many as you wish.

After that, when you edit a photo you've uploaded, you'll see the option to add it to an album.

Polls

I've been building a lot around polls to try and create a new, fun type of Starfield content users and guests can enjoy. So far, I've only published one: Starfield Companions (outside of Constellation). I have a few more I'm working on that will be added to the site soon. You'll be able to find them in a dedicated section of the homepage or on the Community > Polls lander.

In most polls, you'll be able to vote with ranked choices (often up to 5), so you can tell us your favorite, 2nd favorite, 3rd and so on. Each choice gets points and will be ranked according to that. (for those familiar with college football in the US, think of Heisman voting)

While guests will often be allowed to cast their vote, logged in users will be able to save and edit their vote at any time. This might be useful when your opinion changes, or a poll needs to be updated for new DLCs. 🙏 You also get 8 engagement points for each vote you've cast on a poll.

I've actually got plans - partially built out already - to combine the two areas above (albums + polls) in a way to support photo contests once we have users that might show an interest in that - let me know if that includes you with a comment below.
